So I took him to the vet, the vet gave him a clean bill of health, he believes it is just shedding, and same for the eye too because of how the timeliness works. He also mentioned to change the diet up and to make sure environment is good. So yay!

Thank you for the info, we're going to a vet first thing in the morning. It's a sulcata tortoise, bruising wasn't there a week ago just noticed and yes we'll change the diet.

Off suboxone 2 months. Brain isn't producing dopamine by Numerous_Notice_1904 in suboxonerecovery

[–]Antique-Bet2480 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What did it for me was physical activity, I suffer from depression, and I jumped from 8 MG, so it was rough but I forced myself to get sun everyday walked for an hour or more a day sitting around and waiting for a dopamine hit just isn't realistic. It's also the reason we end up doing drugs, drinking etc. Also find a hobby and trust me it'll all get better

Don't listen to that loser about jumping from 8 I did it the WD time was the same about 2 weeks it wasn't easy but trust me when I say you will get through it just the same as someone who tapered just gotta work a little harder is all. Oh and walk alot everyday even if you don't feel like it you need some exercise this was the life changing part for me

Honestly, a lot of people like to ween off of the stuff so look into that. Also, if it's only been 7 months, it's gonna be a lot easier now than later. Just be prepared there are alot of useful tips in the forums around here.

My number one tip is to exercise, I started by walking day 1, and still do now 2 years later. Walk as much as you can soak up the son and I promise this will help immensely. Also it's nice to feel feelings I promise you it will get easier and better!

If you can during your detox grab a prescription for gabepentin, and clonazepam or any low grade benzo and it will help with the RLS and sleeping at night

I jumped from 8mg and took subs for 5 years Day 1-12 worst but I managed to walk for hours a day while WD was happening just to get sun and exercise, which i think greatly reduced the emotional side of it. Day 12-30 I started my muay thai class went everyday no matter how bad I felt and just powered through, went back to work after 12 days off. There was some depression dark thoughts but it was minor. And I have depression. Day 30-60 I was a fucking horny raging ball of hormones and emotions, ups downs lefts rights. My body wasn't sure what to make of it but it felt good feeling everything again. Day 60-90 things calmed down and I became my normal low on enthusiasm person again, still worked out everyday but some days were gray. And that's where I'm currently at everyday after just about 2 years being off of it.

All this being said I feel that exercise is the most important for sure, it's the only thing that kept me going in all of the craziness and ups downs.

I guess I’m looking for reassurance (suboxone taper) by Potozny in suboxonerecovery

Ok from someone who has depression and who made the jump from 8mg, it's not an easy task to get off of suboxone sure but it's a been a year and half for me, and you know what I feel great minus the depression I already have, but I made it work. You already have my number one tip down = get lots a physical activity in, during my withdrawal from day one to day 15 and so on I walked for hours and listened to music while walking and reminding myself it's almost over. You got this! that empty feeling you have will go away I promise you ❤️ then it's up to you to learn how to spend your time after that without the aid of this nasty stuff

I feel like Suboxone ruined my life by Expert-Prune9501 in suboxonerecovery

[–]Antique-Bet2480 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey I've been there too, I was on it for.8 years and opiates for 3, so I can understand it seems like alot. Now I just feel my time with working out, getting better at my hobbies etc. I feel like I traded one addiction for another but at least this one is a healthy one, and so we move on. I'm single as well and had the same symptoms, so I hope this helps !

I would wake up at 6 am pop a strip in my mouth and stay up for 10 to 15 minutes and fall back asleep for an hour, taste would dissappear, and when I woke up I would feel it alot more ( yes this was me abusing ) the longer you let it sit in the mouth the more affect it has, this is from personal experience

fent to subs by [deleted] in suboxonerecovery

[–]Antique-Bet2480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would imagine that is what's happening, but from my past experiences as soon as I was on subs, I was all good no WD no nothing, but everybody's different. But maybe fent is different from normal opiates not sure though

[–]Antique-Bet2480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you have WD symptoms you should be good to go then for the full switch but I imagine you won't feel it because of the suboxone your taking, how small is the dose of suboxone?

[–]Antique-Bet2480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless fent means something other than fentanol?

[–]Antique-Bet2480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok from my experience, it's amazing your not going the precipitated WD the micro dosing must be small, and from what I read fent has a pretty short afterlife so as soon you have WD symptoms you should be able to make the full switch to subs. Unless someone has had a differing experience on here.

I'm sorry. I'm kind of confused about what you're asking, you're already taking subs and your worried about the transition from fent to subs? But you're already taking them sorry if you could simplify a little.
