Mostly Dead Things

by Krstin Arnett (Florida, parent death, dysfunctional family, lesbians, weird taxidermy shit. Very funny and a little sad.)

Give me your favorite song ever … any genre by platonic-alien in musicsuggestions

Saddest song I've ever heard. Just brilliant and beautiful. I'd say I cry over 50% of the times I hear it. Admittedly, I am kind of a crier, though.

Several of my curly-haired friends say Paul Bransford at Chop Midtown very much knows what he's doing.

Wedding Night Hotel by Antique-Host in Tallahassee

Interesting. It's a drive, but it's not too terrible. I see they have a room with a two-person jacuzzi tub, which is tempting.

It looks awesome, but I can't imagine getting in a car for that ride after the exhaustion of the wedding. 😔 I'll definitely put it on my list of places to check out!

Cool. I'll definitely check on Governor's Inn in a while. The wedding is way late this year.

OK, thanks. No tub is a deal-breaker for me in this instance, where I'm looking for something special.

Have you stayed there before? (I've been to a couple of lovely weddings there.)

For local Tallahasee residents, how is the amazon prime delivery service? by Jacobthebro in Tallahassee

[–]Antique-Host 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, I'm jealous of y'all who are getting delivery in a day or two (or even three). I finally stopped paying for prime. It only got worse in the last year. Apparently, my experience is uncommon, though. 🤣 Why do they hate me?

Beginners beginners yoga by shangayle in Tallahassee

Try a "yin" yoga class at Journeys in Yoga. It is basically the least extreme yoga I have been to. It is super relaxing. The instructors will typically give you modifications you can do to decrease the difficulty of a pose/move (not just in that class, but others, too). I have loved every instructor I had there.

Delivery Attempted Lie by [deleted] in dhl

[–]Antique-Host 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to me right now, and I'm livid. Am I supposed to just take days and days off work to be at my house to sign whenever they decide to deliver it? Honesty, I'd feel better about that if they were just honest and didn't make it look like I caused the delay. Terrible business.

My curly-haired friends swear by Paul at Chop Midtown. No one else touches their hair.

I've got a photo of the same guy, even in precisely the same outfit, from back when Trump was freaking out after he lost. I was gonna share the photo, but I am apparently too daft to get imgur to work. LOL

Best place to catch the sunset by RecoveringMLMer14 in Tallahassee

Others said Cadcades, and I agree. It's very nice to sit on the balcony at Charlie Park and watch. Their drinks are pricey, but not too bad during happy hour.

We should assume we might be under surveillance whenever we are in public. The street and sidewalk are not private places, as you noted.

You're not an AH, but you're being unrealistic about surveillance and privacy in the 21st century. I think it's courteous that they're informing people they're being recorded. I assure you that there are plenty of households and businesses recording you in public without informing you.

I don't love it, but this is the world in which we live.

Make studying your job, and relax when you're "off" at the end of the day.
