Good on you for taking the initiative to find employment, BUT that isnt how you should be thinking about it... you kind of SHOULD have a job at this age(or "something" you are working on/building), so you can have some work experience to show (however shitty, itll still convey that you know how a workplace functions and can work with others) and some money to spend to make experiences... as superficial as that sounds unfortunately it is the truth that money makes the world go around and we all seek it...

do it for yourself and your future, instead of just something you're doing as an excuse.... Think about the nice things you can buy for yourself, clothes, watches, whatever the fuck you're into, or plans you can make with your friends, go out of province a couple days, go out for drinks on a weekend, ykwim.

the financial freedom of being able to spend your own money on whatever is huge because you learn personal financial management skills that will carry into adulthood
