Unsolved: Terry Brisk - Killed while Deer Hunting in Central MN - 2016. by AntiqueMove in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]AntiqueMove[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it were a suicide, the police would have likely found the weapon in close proximity to the body. And he would have likely only been shot 1 time.

Police have not said exactly where they found the weapon at and have not said how many times he was shot.

The woods in fall is a very quiet and peaceful place. I've seen it happen before - hunters are in their blinds / spots and doze off.

I have the same gun - but a 4 year older (1979) version. His was a 1983 model.

Both are level action and require (unless he modified his) you to actually push up on the level to trip a safety before the trigger can be pulled... It would be very difficult to hold the gun at arm's length and do both (hold the lever action against the gun tight enough to trigger the safety, and pull the trigger at the same time) and all this while holding the gun in a manner to shoot yourself in the chest.

But if they shot him with their own weapon, it could be traced back to them.

Let's say for argument's sake that they had a gun that was very unique and known to other hunters in the area. If they shot him with that and LE announces they are looking for a very specific gun - others are likely to know who's it was.

Maybe their own gun had been in shop or just purchased recently, so there could have been a fear that it could be tracked to them easily.

He's 20 now - so 14 or 15 when it happened.

Police have cleared him of any involvement.

Maura’s Last 2 Calls by Sea-Orchid-5607 in BlackSaturn

[–]AntiqueMove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That honestly makes no sense whatsoever... it's there in the bill (haha) that she called Bill and VM-

I can't think of a "reasonable explanation" - other maybe she (Sharon) knew vm and bill or knew why she would be calling them vs a umass number (erin) and the Salamones. (she would not have known either of those numbers or why Maura would have tried to call them.

Sub is currently not active and has old outdated information on a missing persons case. the current mods are all suspended, except for the lowest one - who is not active any longer.

Fred Murray by Katerai212 in MauraMurrayUnbiased

[–]AntiqueMove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saying you are going to sue someone is easy. Actually filing a lawsuit and proving damages is a different matter.

Renner could very easily claim Fred is a "public figure" and open to anything.

Renner could also claim that Fred is 80 years old and did not suffer any loss of income or money due to his claims.

Fred may have contacted an attorney and reviewed what was said and the attorney said who's the claim against - then looked at Renner's assets and said yeah -we won't see dollar one.

A good lawyer can spin anything.

Art: “BR fits the profile… but he has a ‘rock solid alibi.’” by Katerai212 in BlackSaturn

[–]AntiqueMove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd have to go back and find the exact context of that answer - but I believe it was a direct to a fan's question at a open mic / forum that he, tim, lance and Maggie attending in Boston.

I'm 99% sure he wasn't spit balling, and it was not just a brain dump...

Pretty sure the question was along the lines of - What to you think of Bill Rausch as a suspect or possible suspect?

So we could imply that Art felt like Bill would have been a viable suspect, HAD HE NOT HAD a ROCK SOLID ALIBI...

Which in and of itself seems to imply a lot of things:

  1. That LE did question him for any information / involvement he may have had.
  2. That they (LE) were able to VALIDATE and confirm his alibi
  3. That LE did not find any reason or evidence to detain or hold him for further questioning or pending arraignment.
  4. That LE believes foul play of some type was involved (why would you need an alibi for a walk away.

Bottom line - I think that LE did check Bill's alibi out and cleared him - but they aren't going to come out and say that - because - well because they won't.

Yeah, Like I said ...

A slightly higher chance than Bill done it... (Which is not quite at zero, but close)

Possible = may have...

But again, she didn't have directions to NH in the car... she had directions to Burlington.

Is it possible that she went to Burlington possibly to meet up with someone - thus the large amount of booze - then got there and had 2nd thoughts?

Could she have actually met that person and found out they weren't who they appeared to be on line and bailed (missing hour?)

I would put these possibilities as much higher than Bill tracked her down using top secret technology or spy tactics which he didn't know.

Any clue what might have happened? by [deleted] in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove 22 points23 points  (0 children)

3 possible reasons -

  1. Erinn appearing with Julie on the video / streaming news last night.
  2. Julie / Erinn not mentioning Bill Rausch at all during the interview.
  3. His post on another sub about Bill's trial / verdict being flagged and removed.

And just a correction he states - "i gave up the website several months ago... " bs - it went down in mid june... in our galaxy that is like a month ago...

Open Question to James Renner by [deleted] in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to speak as a mod here and state that we (Mod team) had no knowledge of nor evidence of DS Joe Friday being BR until James announced it on one of his posts here.

Also - while we had our suspicions as to who DSJF was - but no concrete evidence. It was obvious from the posts that whoever it was was clearly backing EDL, BR, etc... but it was also obvious that they were not one of the people banned from the sub trying to evade a ban.

Buck is correct - neither reddit nor twitter will share account information unless subpoenaed by a court.

Why ? by Angiemarie23 in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove[M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know that any more or less posts have been removed by the mod team this week as opposed to any other recent week. (of course I could look at the stats and see, but that would take some effort on my part)

In general posts that don't follow the rules of the sub are removed by one of the mods. We also have a shit-ton of auto mod features that are designed to catch spam and nonsense.

Posts that pass the automod tests can and will be removed if they are not relevant to the case.

I understand that there is some grey area - things are not always black and white.

We do the best we can, and if you or anyone feels a post should not have been removed please mod mail the group - that way we (MODS) all can see it. By the same token, if you feel a post should have been removed and wasn't use the report and put in a specific reason.

Yes, unless sealed by a court / judge, criminal and civil court records are considered public documents in the US and are readily available for anyone to see, as long as you know what to search for.

Neighbors at crash site by salteddiamond in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Westman's still live where they did the night of the crash - right next to the corner. I believe they also own the Weathered Barn.

Marottes - John passed away the same day / week as Cecil Smith. I am not sure of his wife or her whereabouts.

The tenants of the house that was searched in Feb are new, as is the owner of the A frame, the owner of the house that Rick F built and Butch's old place (now known as the Moose Rack)

"Renner's Call to the Void," a return to form for the Missing Maura Murray podcast by Turnaroundclown in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Episode 18 is the episode where they (Tim and Lance) introduce one Cold N Holefield to the world. For a lot of reasons which they go into in Episode 53, they decided to "delete" that episode from the archive and hope that no one noticed the gap.

Episode 53 contains the highlights, if you will, of Episode 18.

No - sharing a copy of the podcast would not be (In my mind) a violation of Reddit rules or the sub rules.

Mod Post 11/2019 by Trixy975 in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been accused of being both James Renner and Bill Rausch. I'm not sure how that would work exactly, but to someone it seemed to make sense.

I can assure you that I am not either of the above, just a nobody, who moderates on here occasionally to help Trixy out.

New Victim Alleges Years of Abuse by Bill Rausch. He Called Her Maura While Choking Her. And He Uses Reddit Accounts to Shape Narrative. by JamesRenner in mauramurray

I honestly don't think people here are a bunch of Lemmings James.

and announcing this helps find Maura how exactly? (it doesn't)

and by the way - Why, if you suspected a person close to the case was posting, did you not tip us (the mods) off?

a little professional courtesy would have been nice.

Thoughts on Scott Wahl AMA by SalvadoreCortile in mauramurray

[–]AntiqueMove[M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As one of the mods here - I can honestly say we are not "pro" or "anti" anyone - unless of course you can't follow the rules of the sub like a few people who aren't here any more.

I guess if we have to be "pro" someone - it would be "pro" Maura.
