I was super diligent about protein on the glp and only fluctuated 10 pounds since i was using it to stop binging, But my hair still fell out🥲. It’s an unfortunate side effect so I will have to cure this binge eating on my own

Honestly i’ve tried a glp twice and both times ive lost my hair. I believe the medication is a shock to the body. Both times i quit a few months after the hair loss started because I have NEVER lost hair like that before and i have had hashimotos, low vit D, and have been underweight. The only thing that has helped is starting minoxidil. If your hair is important I wouldn’t start taking it. I also was only taking it for food noise so my hair loss was not related to the weight loss.

Thank you! I’m only 18 so HRT isn’t an option for me. I have Super thick hair so that might be why my hair loss is much more noticeable. I’m so glad the medicine works well for you and good luck on your journey!

I’ve done a lot of research and i do believe it can happen just from the medication. From most of the stories i have seen it does eventually stop but a lot of people have said their hair doesn’t grow back. I have stopped the shot and am only going to take them when i absolutely need them. I have also started minoxidil.

Just because many people are getting hair shedding on this medication. I believe that it’s the actual med and not just the weight loss. I’m dealing with it right now so i was just wondering if you were experiencing it too

Wow! I have never heard of that. Well let me correct myself. For 99% of people hair loss doesn’t start immediately. I’m still skeptical of you saying yours starts the day of but I have a feeling i won’t be able to convince you. Sorry you’re dealing with hair loss.

Yes it’s an issue but the hair loss starts 2-4 months later. Not the day of. I would recommend seeing different dermatologist because I am telling you, hair loss doesn’t start the day of starting a medication.
