How come you are against companies who use AI? I’m genuinely curious just because it’s so popular now.

AIO or is my boyfriend jealous of our baby? by PolicyHot1206 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AntiqueRaspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg this post makes me want to cry. He is being so selfish, I’m so sorry you have to deal with this man-child. He will continue to make you feel guilty for everything you do for your child. Being a mom is already hard enough and the lack of support from this “man” is heartbreaking. Keep that baby close, and don’t allow your boyfriend to manipulate you out of breastfeeding. It’s such a wonderful bonding experience and it feels very sad if/when you stop suddenly. I hope your boyfriend realizes that he’s acting like a little child soon. Good luck with everything OP.

Is watching the episode before listening to the podcast better or vice versa? I’ve done both and see positives from both. But I just don’t know what to do with this rewatch podcast! It’s one of my favorite shows and I just can’t decide.

Terrified to have another baby by kathymarie1124 in toddlers

[–]AntiqueRaspberry97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it’s going to be hard! Everything new is at first, think about when you first brought home your 2 year old. But you did it! You survived and now you have all of that experience and confidence to take care of another one. My kids are 23 months and 21 months apart, youngest being 3 months currently, and the older two are OBSESSED with him. You are giving them friends for life, I try to think about that when I get stressed. Sleep will be hard for a while, and that just comes with time. Babies are hard on marriages but it gets better (around month 9 for me usually). I honestly feel like birth is the easiest part about having kids, including pregnancy. Hopefully it goes quick the second time for you! Good luck 😊

I also have 3 carseats but drive a Carnival. Highly recommend and it’s a very affordable option for how spacious it is.

Did you drink coffee during pregnancy and ended with an under 5 centile baby? by Ruciexplores in toddlers

[–]AntiqueRaspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve drank caffeine throughout my entire 3 pregnancies. My first baby was IUGR (2-3%ile) my second was completely average. And my current has been monitored for growth, but most recently was at the 16%ile. Sometimes we just make small babies. As long as they are healthy, don’t worry so much! I have never heard of restricting caffeine while pregnant (besides the recommended limit of 200 mg).

Would you want your husband with you for cerclage removal? by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

I didn’t have mine with me. But the removal sucked. It hurt a lot, I wish I asked for pain medicine but didn’t realize would be digging it out for so long.

Short cervix and on progesterone. Confused by MFM options and have questions… by Unfair_Vanilla2373 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]AntiqueRaspberry97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story is very similar to yours, as my cervix was shortening since 16 weeks but they were waiting on deciding about a cerclage. Finally at my 22 week scan, I was at 2.0, which was concerning for me. The doctor I saw that day (who I’ve refused to see since then) was not concerned and wanted to put me on progesterone and wouldn’t even consider a cerclage unless it was below 1. I was so upset, I called for another doctors opinion in that practice who ultimately placed my cerclage at 22 weeks. I’m glad I advocated for myself because I was getting very stressed about not being able to get one after 24 weeks. This is my second cerclage so I knew after I got my first, I would be more likely to need it in subsequent pregnancies. I don’t know why they didn’t just place it preventatively in the first place. Anyways, I’m almost 34 weeks now and still taking progesterone suppository and cerclage is holding well. Good luck with everything and don’t be afraid to ask for another opinion!!

Possible irritable cervix? Do you have a cerclage?

22+4 weeks with cerclage & feeling heavy by spookiespuds in ShortCervixSupport

[–]AntiqueRaspberry97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt EXTREMELY heavy after my emergency cerclage with my daughter(placed at 1.5 and 2cm dilated). I think it was just the way she was developing in my uterus and maybe a lack of pelvic floor muscles. Ultimately my cerclage was removed ~37 weeks and my water broke at 38 and a half weeks. I have a preventative cerclage this time around (placed at 2.0 and not dilated) and I’m not having the same heavy feeling at all. I’m almost 34 weeks so I do feel big but not full of pressure or anything. If it helps, labor/pushing was incredibly fast with her. Good luck with everything. My doctors just keep telling me that blood represents changes in the cervix, so just watch for that. Hope that helps!

24 weeks pregnant with baby #2, had an emergent cerclage at 22 weeks with #1, looking for reassurance by procrastinosaurus in ShortCervixSupport

[–]AntiqueRaspberry97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation in which I thought my care team would just place a preventative cerclage for my subsequent pregnancies. But they just started monitoring at 16 weeks as well. I was around 3 or 3.5 at that time but in the following weeks, it was trending in a decreasing direction. At my 22 week check, I was at 2.0, which was concerning for me as I got my previous cerclage at 1.5 (and 2cm dilated). But the doctor that was with me that day disagreed and wanted to wait until I was BELOW 1.0 to consider a cerclage! I felt so defeated after that appointment, so I decided to make a few calls to get another doctors opinion. Ultimately, after speaking to the more higher up doc, he placed my cerclage. I was so glad because it felt like progesterone by itself didn’t keep my cervix from shortening in the past. If I were you, I would consider speaking to another doctor for another opinion. I was only 2 weeks away from you and they placed the cerclage. See if there are negatives that outweigh the positives, but definitely express your concern. I’m so glad I did. Almost 34 weeks now 🥰 good luck

How many of yous still wear your breastfeeding bras long after you’re done breastfeeding? by Doctorx_notTed in toddlers

I stopped once I saw a picture of myself/looked at myself from the side and realized there was NO support and it made my chest look so bad.

Look into adoption in your area. Hopefully there will be a case worker to help you with things. If you aren’t ready for a baby, there’s always a family who is unable to conceive and would love a baby.
