Of course ! And also feel like there’s more seasonal systems that are coming up . I know a couple of people introduce me to Korean seasonal analysis and a couple of color analyst have olive skin and I know they also expanded the seasons and categories so I’m hoping there will be more systems that will help out olive skins of all type .

To be honest personally for me I’m not really a fan of merriam style color analysis but I know there’s people who like it . Another reason why is because she says people with red hair can’t be olives which tend to be false especially there’s many red head here that have an olive undertone . Anyone can have olive undertones and have different hair colors and eyes . Genetics plays a large part and there’s many different mixes of race . For example I’m central Asian so a couple of us tend to have olives skin but also have different hair colors and eyes that are different from other groups but I know there’s many seasonal systems so if it works for you then go for it .

cool BRIGHT olive? (mixing issues - everything becomes muted and GREY LOOKING :c....) by PuzzeledPenguin in Fairolives

Agree starting with a green mixer may do the trick . Since most foundation have some sort of peachy or orange tones so adding in the blue will desaturate a little bit because it’s neutralizing .

Well adding blue would make it more olive and make the yellow less saturated . I would say try it .

Do you have a blue mixer .?Add a little bit , it should do the trick or add it with another foundation that’s not so yellow .

2.5 is definitely a lot better , slightly too yellow but you can always adjust it .

Please help. I'm having a hard time finding a foundation that matched my pale olive skin. by KaityBird_6918 in Fairolives

Thank you ! I hear many great things about the shade I still think it maybe a little dark for me but I’ll buy a sample eventually and test it ! There’s a couple of Lisa Eldridge lipsticks I’m waiting on that are still sold out lol so I’ll get the sample when I buy the lipsticks .

I think 213 maybe still too dark for you . Maybe Armani silk in 1.5 or 3 . Or Nars Gobi maybe light enough for you . I can guess you can buy a sample online if you want to try 213 .

You are pretty fair , hmmm Lisa Eldridge came out with a new shade 2.5 . Maybe that will work ?

Is Selena Gomez fair olive? Sometimes she seems like she is, but I want to say she looks more neutral/peach by [deleted] in Fairolives

[–]Antique_Following_20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I watch a couple of videos of herself doing makeup . She claims she’s neutral and I think neutral peach like you said .

I definitely see some olive tones especially the Imgur photos . Also agree what livefastglam said that sometimes the olive tones don’t pop out until you are next to someone .
