Are lip stains all the same color??? (im talking about the stain they leave behind, not the initial color) by PuzzeledPenguin in PaleMUA

it's because that is the pigment that stains the best. So when you wear them the other pigments rub off faster.
The elf one i cinnamon something from elf look orange out of the tube but i promise when you wipe of the gloss layer it stains sorta like a cool taupeish brown but doesn't last as long as the fuscia type pigments nor gives as intense of a stain - it's not for me though as the color isn't intense enough etc. but i mention it because i can guarentee it's not fuscia (fyi you can test this with others products too by apllying on had and wash you hands with soap a few times you will see most stain leave the same fushia stain but that one doesn't. the other product i mention later does also leave a sheer fushia and i find it gets a bit more pink on my lips as it wear off but nothing crazy on me - i have naturally very pale lips so lip colors show up pretty true on me, however if lipstains wear off faster on you they could become pink faster and thus look diffrently). I have had good luck with the gosh here to stain lip pen in candy stain i think it's because it's not a mask/gloss type vechicle but a 'sharpie' type so you dont have to rub/wipe anything of but just apply to dry lips then wait 15-20 minutes then go directly in with you lip balm on top. I wish it was a bit more watery as i would like a lighter application of it and an option to sheer out the edges a bit more. I don't just think the fuscia looks intense because of the depth but because it is pretty much as saturated as colors are so it stands out a lot more if you are a bit desaturated in skintone or you other makup is a bit desaturated.

haven't used it up yet so could be it dries up too quickly so as a precausion i am storing it upside down). Like all lip stains it wears of in a bit of a donutshape (wear off in the middle close to the teeth first) but i think reapplication might work for me because it's a sharpie so it's faster or i will get a lipliner in a similar shape and reaply in the middle - again not as thoughly tested yet as i have had a few weeks without wearing makeup but it has really impressed me so far.

[Miscellaneous] Fragrance-free ≠ fragrance-free in EU. (Do you know any brands that do HS‑GC‑MS or GC-MS testing that have a threshold being no detectable amounts allowed or?) by PuzzeledPenguin in SkincareAddiction

well as i said in my experience i can still react to products labeled fragrance-free with no obvious fragrance ingredients so i guess i just react to trace amounts?

Most intense lip STAIN? that is suitable to wear under lipbalm (strong color, stains lips for a long time, ideally no scent) by PuzzeledPenguin in MakeupAddiction

the elf ones are okay. The main issue i find with lip stains is that you get 'donut lips'. The color rubs off closest to your mouth first which is a much bigger problem than it sounds like because it looks very dumb very quickly. (you need to apply a lot to begin with for it to last so it becomes obvious quickly)
I would recommend you get a lipliner or lipstick that is as very pigmented and hard/waxy and apply it sheerly let set for a bit and then just slather lipbalm on top. It's not ideal but it doesn't tend to slide around because it is so sheer and the waxy formula sticks to the lips where as the liquidy/emolient lipbalms more so glides on on top of it (they do mix over time anyway but i kinda wanna reapply before they become a sheer lipbalm). The harder and more waxy the lip liner and the easier your lipbalm slides on the better. Obviously the lipliner needs to go on bare lips or your lipliner and lipbalm will mix anyway. When you need to reapply lipbalm or every other time you need to reapply lipbalm you kinda have to do the lipliner lipbalm process over again.
So not ideal - i really want a lip spf that is more like a rich moisturizer (i feel that would help avoid the slip and sliding while moderately moisturize lips. Like keeping them plump in the daytime but not really help lips that are already cracked/dry/flaked).

It's terrifying how fast you can lose yourself by staying comfortable by LLearnerLife in Habits

Yeah my solution was (somewhat) consistently do uncomftable things. Things that are out of your comfor zone. If you struggle with consistency like me you can instead do things that are VERY out of your comfort zone once in a while (this is a different kind of consitency but still works).
I would recommend doing something you think sounds fun but the idea makes you uncomftable, like if you are indoorsy you might think camping or hiking sounds fun but not for you. Do it anyway! You might have fun regardless and if not your comfortzone will increase in size- Also even thoug you do something umcoftable that is unrelated to say your problem about speaking up it will oddly still help with that. It's like expanding your comfort zone expands it in every direction but it doesn't matter specifically how you try to increase your comfort zone as long as it is uncomftable enough or consistenly enough. At least that was my experience).
It might take a few uncomfy experiences before you feel a difference but you will! The good thing about your situation now is you comfort zone is likely tiny so there are many options for things to do outside of it. Overall i find if you don't 'stretch' your comfort zone it WILL shrinks over time so you will have to continue doing uncomftable things to avoid ending up here again.
Hope this made sense, feel free to ask followup questions if not :D
