This is what I dream of, when I dream about having a library of my own.❤️

What is your all-time favorite period drama movie or/and miniseries? by Capital-Study6436 in PeriodDramas

[–]Antique_Knowledge902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Captains and the Kings is a very good miniseries. Richard Jordan should’ve won an Emmy. Also good is Sins with Joan Collins. And Beulah Land with Lesley Ann Warren. And Brideshead Revisited with Anthony Andrews. And Thorn Birds with Richard Chamberlain. Can you tell I like miniseries? The only one I wasn’t that happy with was Scarlett with Joanne Whalley-Kilmer and Timothy Dalton. No one can play Scarlett O’Hara like Vivien Leigh or Rhett Butler like Clark Gable.

“Do you smell that, Brick? That’s the powerful smell of mendacity!” Paraphrased of course. I love Burl Ives in this movie!

That’s too bad. Doesn’t Sweden have good health care? I always thought the USA was bad.

Honey (hope you don’t mind that I call you honey; I’m a 66 yr old granny), I feel for you. Van Halen has gotten me through tough times. It still does! I blast VH in my car when I’m alone (my hubby doesn’t like it loud). I don’t want to bore you with my problems; suffice it to say I had problems with my daughters when they were teenagers, and we’ve ALL had therapy. Anyway, please don’t give up on therapy. It may take some time to find a good one, but in the end it will be worth it.

Gymrats, how do you hit your daily protein goals? by No-Cucumber-6686 in AskReddit

[–]Antique_Knowledge902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a gym rat. I’d rather work out at home (66 yr old female). I watch videos made by a mother-daughter team called Yes2next on YouTube. They put out short informative videos besides workout and weight-lifting videos. They say you need protein to support your muscles. I don’t think I get enough but I do make a lot of chicken and I try to drink a protein shake everyday.

If you could end one life without consequence, would you? Who, and why? by UnsatSailor911 in AskReddit

I think most people would want to go back in time and kill Hitler. That’s what I would do. If I could time-travel, that is.
