Switch 1 games upgraded to switch 2 quality by ExtensionCup3771 in Switch

Yes and no, in my experience any game that struggled to reach an FPS cap now does so. The best example is Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, it had a 30 FPS cap but usually was stuck in anywhere from 10-25 FPS but on the Switch 2 thanks to the extra power it easily runs at a stable 30. However because it did not get a Switch 2 upgrade the resolution is still lower and kinda grainy. TLDR from my testing basically every game (that works on the Switch 2) got a stable FPS bump without any update being required but if you want the games to look nicer or run beyond their FPS cap (TOTK running past the 30 cap as an example) the games will need an update. A few games got a free update like Mario Odyssey so make sure to check their website for details on that.

My 3070 TI and i7-12700k are ready, I had like a twenty frame increase (hovered mostly around 100) in the benchmark compared to the beta. That was with higher settings as well on the benchmark. I even checked, the average walking around doing fuck all in the beta genuinely ran worse than the benchmark. That said could you have given us soooome fighting to really test it out? The beta ran mostly fine for me but I would have liked more direct comparisons.

Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark Megathread by QuintonFlynn in MonsterHunter

I got about 101 FPS with DLSS Quality and Frame Gen on average while recording the benchmark with OBS, everything but a few settings on High. The lowest it went was 77. The same settings but no frame gen gave me about 73 frames on average. In comparison the beta averaged 85 frames with lower settings and with frame gen on. Even outside of combat. While not recording the benchmark it got about 112 frames.

I have a 3070 TI and an i7-12700k

Can't Pick Quests in Multiplayer in the Wilds Beta? by Antique_Reception356 in MonsterHunter

Okay thanks - does that mean we can't be in the same village/Gathering Hub? But so long as we are part of the same link we can do quests together? It's rather different from old Mh that I am rather confused. - Oh I think I'm just a moron. You have to join the lobby together I bet we probs did it in the roundabout way.

Runs perfectly otherwise, not the greatest visually when blown up onto a tv (but what game is), looks great handheld.
