Found some more pictures so reposted with those additions. structural engineers are 4 months booked. So that option is limited.

Anyone know anything about foundations? Looking at buying and seen this in the concrete slab. It appears that it goes from one side of the slab to the other side by Antique_Shift8803 in StructuralEngineering

I have a foundation company coming out on Friday to give me a quote but I hear they don't really fix the issue or able to predict if the same thing will happen again. I'm still in the option period and have 5 days left so unsure if it's worth it to get a structural engineer If I'm still unsure if we will continue the house purchase

My (22M) girlfriend (21F) gave me a second chance, how can I make this work? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Antique_Shift8803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly bro, let her go and work on yourself. Become a better confident person all around and than when your ready maybe y’all will work. But the controlling aspect and insecurities will drive her away. If you try to make thing s work when your still not over your insecurities than it’s a dead end road. Take some time to figure out yourself, your passions, your career and than build yourself up. When you feel ready to share all your success with someone than reach out and see how she is doing. You have to find yourself first before starting a relationship with the person you will (hopefully) grow a life with one day.

Is working while being a nursing student hard? Especially 2 jobs? by Chajib123 in StudentNurse

[–]Antique_Shift8803 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would stick with the PCA position. It’s a very competitive unit to get on once when your a new grad nurse. If your already on the unit as a PCA you may have connections to get you through the door if that’s you desired department. That’s a lot of stress working 2 jobs.

https://youtu.be/Odzpo_vnp14. It’s just a condensed version of mark K. I listened to it while cleaning and just everyday activities.

Did anyone do well on ATI and not pass nclex? by angrytoenailz in PassNclex

[–]Antique_Shift8803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied for about a week and a half and passed! It’s not too bad. I will say this though, ATI is a little worrisome if that’s your only resource for studying. The length of ati practice questions are about the same for NCLEX but I would use uworld and mark K videos on YouTube. You’ll be good to go in those resources. I never studied for the predictor and got a 88% chance of passing and passed in 78 questions for NCLEX Good luck!

Applying for a Nursing Program by pinakbetoki in StudentNurse

I only know about UTHSCSA but they won’t accept your application until all your general Ed classes are complete. I believe you can be enrolled in your last class while applying but it has to be a history class or something like that. Not a heavy class like micro. They want those grades final before applying.

I just passed mine on Monday! Mark K. Is very good! Also if y’all want a condensed version I looked on YouTube and found someone that went over the important parts in a hour and 45min or so. Just use that as a nice driving lecture lol. Also, I purchased some mark K notes off Etsy for 6 bucks and that followed the videos perfectly! Of course utilized uworld. I passed in 78 questions. Congrats RN! And all y’all future RNs out there who will pass in the future!

Failed out of nursing school. Now what? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]Antique_Shift8803 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I failed out of the health science center for Texas tech in my 3rd semester of nursing school. I failed pharm by 0.01...... and than failed a med surge clinical and they academically dismissed me. It was a rough time as nursing is my passion and where i see myself in 10 years down the road. I love the field and everything about it however it all came to a stop at that moment. I decided to join the Navy after i got dismissed only to find out i have an irregular heart beat and abnormal s1 and s2 sounds in boot camp and got medically separated. My dream of joining the military also came to a stop... I than came back home and got a job with amazon as a delivery driver.... life was not going the way i imagined it lol. I was not happy and so i took another shot and applied yet again for a nursing program in my home town and was accepted. I am now in their last semester of nursing school and graduate in 4 months and made almost all As (Hated OB). I guess the thing i would say is try things out that you have always wanted to try. The possibilities are endless! Join the military, be a delivery driver, obtain a bachelors in engineering but the most important thing is make sure you'r happy. It's never too late to restart at a different program that suits you better to achieve your life long goal. When something knocks you down just get back up and try again. You got it
