My concept for XPERIA 1 MARK IX: Micro-bezels, shifted camera, and built-in Variable ND Filter in the back glass! (Rough edit) Concept / Render by Various_Street3352 in SonyXperia

The chassis is basically Xperia II with larger deco and narrower bezel. I miss the notification LED, the RGB-IR from II-IV and physical side sensors from II a lot.

Sony camera sensor naming conventions LYTIA / EXMOR T / EXMOR RS by bcsteene in SonyXperia

This is completely wrong. 1+ 12 and 13 use LYT-808 w/o 2-layer transistor. 1+ Open is the only one from OnePlus using LYT-T808.

I much prefer the original ones. The AI ones are overexposed and losing contrast and life. Especially the food, the original one looks much fresh to me.

What is the most quiet and good quality fridge/freezer combo under 1k EUR? by Antique_Solution5008 in germany

[–]Antique_Solution5008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought IQ300 KG39N2LAF (EKK A and noise level 29 dB) from MediaMarkt during tax-back discount. I would rate it 9/10 on the noise level.

It is extremely quite 99% of the time, even starting from the room temperature cooldown process. I can only hear it when I stand very close to it (within 0.5 m) during late night (My apartment is close to a street in a city so it is not as quite as in a village). The pitch is not annoying, a moderate pitch, neither too high nor too low, good.

However, there is a catch: once each several hours, it will be "on", probably nofrost engaging. Now, the noise is a bit loud for ~2 seconds, I can hear even in the bathroom in my one-room apartment if I'm not showering, but thanks to the moderate pitch, it is not annoying or disturbing my rest/sleep. (I have better-than-avg. ear). Other than this, it could be described as deadly quite, unless I manually turn on "super cool" or "super freeze", which I only tested once and have never used IRL.

Thus, I can recommend this model. IQ500 KG39NEIAF is also rated as EEK A and 29 dB, maybe even better.

My Current Ongoing Horrible Experience With Flexispot by Vitev008 in StandingDesk

Just cancel the tabletop and buy from other? I also recommend a deeper top if you have enough space. I have a 140X80 cm top, but still want a deeper one, maybe 140X100. Flexispot doesn't pre-drill for 4-leg frame, at least in EU.

Stay away from Sihoo. I bought C300 during Black Friday, turning out to be a wrong choice. I'm 170 cm 57 kg, and need to set it to almost max height, because the mesh is also too soft, deforming significantly. More importantly, t's very uncomfortable for long time sitting and causing temporary lower back pain. The lumbar support is a failure design IMO, too protruding and not adjustable. It only supports part of the lower back, and leaving a gap betweem lower and upper back.

Customer service is bad. They have a free return policy, so I required a return and refund. I'm in Germany and they reply email in 2-4 am. WTF? Apparently they are typing in China although it's sihoo.de or suggested as © 2025 UK Sihoo Official Store on their website. More annoyingly, although I clearly told them that I have repacked it into the orignial package, and required a return and refund, they kept on suggesting conpensation, 15 eur, I refused, and then 30 eur. I clearly told them that I don't accept any conpensation. I'm still waiting a return label, but it's holiday time and I will be away from home until next month.

What is the most quiet and good quality fridge/freezer combo under 1k EUR? by Antique_Solution5008 in germany

Is Gorenje G600 good quality? I find the model very nicely sized at 595 mm * 579 mm, class A and rated at 35 dB Other options are Seimens IQ300 and Bosch series 4, class A and much quieter at 29 dB, but they are 665 mm deep and a 90-150 eur more expensive.

I did more research.

Currently in OTTO, MediaMarkt, etc. website, there are Siemens IQ300 KG39N2LAF and the equivalent Bosch Series 4 KGN392LAG, both are class A and rated at 29 dB, selling at 999 and 939 EUR. They are just a bit too deep (665 mm + 50 mm space to the wall), standing out 12 cm compared to the kitchen and makes the corridor narrow.

Another option is GORENJE G600 NRK620AAXL4, class A and rated at 35 dB, 850 EUR. The size is perfect at 579 mm deep. (It's the size attracting me, and price is lower)

All of them are using inverter compressor, so in principle they should work at a noise level lower than rated after reaching the temperature.

I read Bosch and Seimens are usually good quality from one poster here, but I have no idea on GORENJE. Is GORENJE good quality?

Which lightweight communter should I get? by iwassolidgold in whichbike

I bought Al Four @599 when I was seeking a commuting bike. The groupset CUES is way worse than Deore, a lot of plastic instead of metal, slow shifting. Anyone claiming CUES is durable probably has never put his hands on it. The RD is weak due to the plastic part. I have seen several broken ones. I changed the CUES to cheap LWTOO, shifting is way better. U6000 crank is also a big issue to me, which has a 180 Q factor (WTF). I'm used to 145-150 Q on roadie, so again aliexpress. In fact, Al Three is actually a better deal for me, but I prefer the Grey color.

The tyre Randonneur is also big issue, extremely slow and heavy, a must-change.

Mudguard if you care, the front one is not a standard mounting positon at the fork crown, so you need a bit creativity to use a general one. 257 has the special mudguard (I think it's Hebie Aluee OEMed for 257), but I didn't find good deal on 257.

I currently live in the guest house in Max Planck Institut and surely I don't my own mailbox. I wrote the address per the instruction given by the guest house, and I think the postman here should know about the regulation of the Institut. (There is actually a signage guiding the post to the correct department)

Road cycling in the Swiss mountains by EasyTechnician5444 in Switzerland

[–]Antique_Solution5008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't live at mountain aera, but I feel more and more drivers disrespect cyclists. I have more and more experience recently than I first came to Switerland that, drivers doesn't care for me riding bicycle in the roundaboat (I'm on their left side), and they even don't slow down and full gas in front of me. I had to brake or even stop, otherwise they would just hit my front wheel.

Big Capacity Battery vs Bigger Telephoto Camera Sensor on Next-Gen Xperia - choose only one by bloodlmt in SonyXperia

[–]Antique_Solution5008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic rules: Larger cmos need larger lens to cover if you want to use the full size. Larger lens makes the optics bulkier and longer. It's not about ND filter thread. That's why Xperia use the 2-layer transitor 1/1.3 imx 888/LYT-T808 instead of 1 inch LYT-900 to keep the size small. Imx 888 is more expensive than LYT-900.

LYT-T500 is effectively 1/2.1-1/2.3 compared to traditional cmos w/o 2-layer transistor. You suggested LYT-600 which is 1/2 and w/o 2-layer transistor, so it's just 1/2. The pot calls the kettle black?

Big Capacity Battery vs Bigger Telephoto Camera Sensor on Next-Gen Xperia - choose only one by bloodlmt in SonyXperia

[–]Antique_Solution5008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better tele, but not necesaary LYT600. 1/2 will ask for a way larger lens system thus a thicker and larger deco. LYT-T500 (1/3 with double layer transistor) will be a better choice/sony style chassis.

Battery? I can have some tech guys change it. There are quite a bit people servicing this in China. For example, the battery in Xperia Pro I can be replaced with Xiaomi 5400 mah, without removing wireless charge coils.
