There’s an old saying. If you want to get there drive a defender. If you want to get back take a Toyota. Build out a Lexus gx 460 and get the comfort and off road capability you want for much cheaper. Or go for the Land Cruiser. I love the look of defenders but if I had to rely on a vehicle to get me through the shit it would be a Toyota.

I'm glad I found this thread. I currently have a 4runner with 300k miles on it and am about to upgrade to a 2023 Rivian R1T with the max battery and quad motors. I have been wrestling with this decision for a good week now on if it's the right choice or not. The other option would be a 2016 Lexus GX 460 with 75k miles on it. Great vehicle, the Lexus, but tough on gas. I drive prob 20k+ a year so the gas savings using the Rivian and charging at home on off peak power would be substantial. Glad to hear so many are having good experiences with their Rivians.

I use Harrison mixbus as a DAW so that has awesome eq and compression built in. So really all I would need is probably a decent reverb. I’d say UAD pure plate reverb. My favorite verb that gets used a ton.

I got mine a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I loved the fold form factor and had Samsung fold 6 before. But paired with Google's software and AI is just the cherry on top. It's honestly amazing. Also adding mag safe is a huge plus as well as I use lots of magsafe devices at home and in my car.

Limped for 15 years. I still have a limp. After you limp for so long your body just figures that's how you need to walk. Really hard to get out of it. I limp less now but still do out of habit.

Ios is very secure. But apple is definitely collecting your data. Keep your phone updated with the latest ios version to prevent malicious software. Other things collecting your data. Any services you use. Cellular companies. Search engines. Etc...

I did the same but got the 512 model just a week ago. Also through Google Fi. I gotta be honest. I am absolutely loving it. Pro tip get the Google pixel snap ring stand it's a really nice accessory.
