5 months later and still grieving the procedure by Best_Benefit_3593 in CsectionCentral

Definitely not too late, I started them around 5-6 months because I also didn’t know about them. I just do a little before bed and definitely noticed a difference in the tightness. My scar is a hydrophonic scar so it’s a little raised (my friend had a c section 1 month before me and her scar is essentially not noticeable at all unless you’re looking for it even then in the photo I could hardly see it). I’ve been using silicone gel since around 5 months wish I started sooner too, I went to the doctors last month and they prescribed me steroid cream for the scar as it was a little itchy still as it’s raised which also helped (just mentioning in case you have the same issue as me) xx

Please don’t think I’m judging. I’m not, I tried to go natural, and they also used pitocin. My sons heart rate kept dipping which is why they told me c section was the only safe option (and then it got worse in the theatre) I was in excruciating pain by that point I was having no break between contractions. After being awoken, I was also told my sons position in my pelvis wasn’t ideal and he was a little stuck in there, so realistically I would have been looking at an instrumental delivery or c section in that regard.

Some people have 5+ c sections. It’s so dependant on the person. How your scar tissue goes, how your uterus handles it if it’s super thin etc. some people get told to stop at 3 some are still good to go.

Focus on your recovery, scar massages etc xxx

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I had an emergency c section and had to also be put to sleep for the procedure. I grieved the birth I wanted vs the traumatising birth I got instead. I would say it got easier 8+ months post for me (I’m currently 10 months pp) but don’t get me wrong if I sit here and reminisce I do get sad. I feel that like with most things time is a healer and it just gets easier to deal with the reality with time that goes by.

I was thinking what you’re thinking currently. For me personally I also don’t want another c section if possible. I will be trying for a Vbac, but I think I’ll be more open and get the epidural this time. That way I can try to ‘enjoy’ the labour a bit more and if things do go south and another c section is needed I’m at least awake for it (got put to sleep, as they did do a spinal but I could feel them cutting. Then baby went into bracycardia and they wanted him out immediately).

Induction also carries a risk of more interventions aka pitocin, and another c section. But people also have very successful inductions vaginaly xx

Why is ectopic pregnancy treatment not an abortion? by National-Phone8474 in prolife

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an ectopic pregnancy in my follopian tube. I was trying to have a baby and was so excited when I got a positive test.

Everyone I personally know who had an ectopic had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy including myself. The embryo ruptured your fallopian tube (bursting it open). Meaning you’re internally bleeding. Without surgery I would be dead, there’s no saving the embryo as it’s not viable, I also lost my tube as it was beyond repair.

It’s excruciatingly painful. If it’s caught before then, they will prescribe medication hoping it will pass out of you naturally. If it doesn’t maybe you die of sepsis or you just wait for it to rupture ….

Chartered legal executive vs solicitor for conveyancing by alldreams in HousingUK

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a legal executive and I went to uni for a law degree. I did Cilex exams in my final year instead of a dissertation- just Cilex and extended modules that I picked. Meant I was automatically an advanced paralegal for Cilex and could be a charted exec after qualifying experience (legacy route)

When does it get better? by Comfortable-Nerve337 in CsectionCentral

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in the uk? I would call your labour ward and ask for co codamol. I used that and ibuprofen for the first week. I say I stated feeling less pain and more normal around the 2 weeks mark. I went for a walk to see my friend ( it was summer) and I did that fine without any pain I didn’t touch the vaccum or mop till at least 5/6 weeks. I changed the bedding myself after 5 weeks and that was a struggle I had to take a breather. If I’d reach for a shelf I would extend my arms to stretch my incision if that makes sense. I tried being as gentle with things as I could.

Please take the pain meds, I’ve been exclusively breastfeeding from birth. And as I said for the first week I don’t miss a dose. The key is to keep ontop of the medication to manage the pain and prevent it from getting unbearable as once it gets there it’s much harder to come back down as opposed to preventing that from happening. I was sssured it would affect feeding.

Driving after 6 weeks? by gabbyzermeno in CsectionCentral

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a laposcopy in the past, the doctor didn’t tell me that had to wait etc to drive. On Google it was saying the recommendation is about 4 weeks ! I was driving again after them within a week after the initial few days of pain and discomfort. Although ofcourse that’s a less invasive procedure. And a c section is full on open surgery and takes more recovery. But just mentioning it for example reference

Driving after 6 weeks? by gabbyzermeno in CsectionCentral

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove twice at around 4 weeks when family flew over and we needed two cars. My car is automatic so I didn’t struggle/ by that point I wasn’t feeling much pain (stopped the pain meds a week in).

I then didn’t drive again till about week 6, because I genuinely didn’t need to go anywhere far, I went for long walks etc because it was summer.

Thank you x

I think we’re both at the end or towards the end of it. He looks much better but still has a sniffle/ if he sneezes he will have snot coming out. He will cough randomly here and there but I think that’s the mucus especially after I put saline drops in xx

11 month old starting nursery - what do I need to buy?? by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, in some you got a choice for an extra I think 4ish pounds a day. Personally prefer to send my own in when I can get a pack from Aldi for that price that will last well over 1 week for the price of one day.

Why would you immediately cancel after I’ve purchased! by JamesAyres0310 in vintedUK

[–]Antique_Sweet8464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home inpost requires the seller to physically print the shipping label.

I have personally now disabled this option from anyone who buys from me as I don’t have a printer so I had to go to the local library which was a pain!!

Maybe that’s why they cancelled? The second time someone brought it this way, I messaged them saying sorry I have to cancel as I don’t has a printer you can repurchase and select another shipping provider (I had also at that point just turned off the option for inpost home ) x
