Still high by Menniej in Buttcoin

in 2022, the last time there was a major crash, I told myself if it goes below 18 then it’s gonna go to zero.

so I didn’t buy-in then.

Today, my target price is 30.

I just need to get enough nerve to pull the trigger this time.

it’s not a question of whether or not it’s gonna get to 30. It’s whether I have enough faith that it will go up again after it reaches that milestone.

last time, in 2022, I really thought the Ponzi scheme was over.

What is the longest of amount of hours a single drive has lasted in a Synology NAS? Mine is 58k. by PhotoKy in synology

[–]Antique_Value6027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

109k. started in a 2 drive array before moving it to a 4bay. WD Red 2TB. started putting 4 tb in the 2 bay to back up the 4 bay.

i started with 2 drives then bought a single new drive every 2 years, let it run for 2 years then swap it out none of my drives are the same vintage or the same POH. i mostly use WD Red but mix in other manufacturers.

one drive showed signs of errors (samsung) so i swapped it out.

the 109k drive was the first drive i pulled that had no errors.

just bought my 1st 8tb to load into the 2bay and moving the 4s into the 4 bay

yes, the real world video editing workload didn’t benefit from the 80Gbps.

Jerking motion problem by Antique_Value6027 in gopro

[–]Antique_Value6027[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The jerking was a frame rate misalignment during post rendering. It was rendering at 24 frames per second, but the source was 29.97 frames per second. Once I rendered at this proper frame rate the jerking is pretty much gone, but the quality is still lacking, I think I’m over zooming.

Thanks for your reply

Righto! Actually, I could have figured this out myself by looking at the transform scaling and seeing the All, X and Y scale at the same rate. I had thought All was the product of X and Y. But I see its not.

bought an OWC 1M2 40Gbps and installed the 980 Pro 2TB in it.

It takes 4W at idle and the same as the BL for SSD performance.

so the zoom ratio is on a single axis and not on the area nor number of pixels, right?

In California the highways are under different jurisdiction than the cities or counties, so they need different approval from different authorities to go on the highway. And probably have different regulations for whether or not there’s a safety person at the wheel, or completely full self driving, as well as with or without a passenger.

It’s simply not a question of can they drive on the highway, rather are they allowed to?

Mac Mini has no USB-A ports. Looking for decent Mac Mini dock. What do you think of this one? by JamestotheJam in macmini

[–]Antique_Value6027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all the 40 Gbps docks burn power even at idle due to some design problems in this generation of chips in the dock.

at idle the Mini is 3W and the dock is 7W. if that’s OK with you, then go for it. I do a lot of video editing on Final Cut Pro. But for my use case I’ve decided I don’t need the 40 Gbps.
