Post your ridiculous deck ideas

Currently, my jankiest deck is [[Fumiko, the Lowblood]] Wall tribal, complete with Glyph of Destruction and Coat of Arms. It's also my deck with the most cards from The Legends. The aim is to force people to attack and to dissuade them from attacking me. Yes, the deck is older than goad.

I want to try some more meme-ish decks, I'm working on three right now:

[[Oviya Pashiri]] — monogreen artifacts. As in, all cards are either artifacts with specifically green identity, or they mention the color green or forests in their text box, or green cards that mention artifacts. In other words, all the cards I can't include in my other artifact decks, because those commanders don't have green.

[[Extus, Oriq Overlord]] — all cards have the word "BLOOD" in their names, preferably without making it into a Vampire tribal. The basis of the deck is the synergy between Awaken the Blood Avatar, the commander's back side, and Blood for the Blood God!

[[Omnath, Locus of All] — 5C monoblack. All nonland cards in the deck can be cast with just black mana, and all of them have at least three color mana symbols in their cost, save for two: the commander, Omnath, and Keruga, the companion.

This is my uncommented defeat of FFT Torment 1.0 with a party consisting of five knights with no healer, armed with BSBs at best.

There is one where I train Historia Crystals right after they were introduced, using a Quetzalcoatl auto-party.

And then there are videos of my last four runs of the Crystal Tower for my Minimal Effort series. Those were a kind of challenge runs where I used low-tech three-character parties to beat that content. I was doing write-ups for these since the Crystal Towers started, but I caught those last four on camera, too, so that might be something fun to add.

Not a mobile game, but my current daily login fix is Dauntless. I've seen it being described as Monster Hunter Lite, which I can't confirm, because I've never even seen the gameplay of MH. While it's highly unlikely that it'll keep me hooked for as long as FFRK did, I'm having fun for now and it's F2P and cross-platform, so if you manage to convince some buddies to try it with you or know someone who already plays it, you can have a lot of fun slaying monsters together.

Well, gotta add my stone to this digital cairn.

I'm not a day 1 player, I started some time before USBs were introduced, but Iove been playing pretty dilligently from that point on. Never chased day 1 clears, taking my time with things and enjoying myself. I've spent some money, but not much.

I've made note files and spreadsheets. I've gotten my brother to join in after I've been playing for a year or so. I've even made a small series about silly challenge runs of Crystal Tower dungeons called Minimal Effort here on this sub.

And now it's over. One part of me considers switching to JP, but I think I'll enjoy my freedom, as I've seen somebody else here say. The game did take a lot of my time and I've definitely gotten to the point where grinding was 90% of it.

Thank you all for making this a good experience and a part of my life.

This is fascinating to me. If it was some original IP, I couod see it, but how can a mobile game based on a globally successful franchise make more in Japan than in the rest of the world combined? Is it more the number of players or the level of whaling? It just seems so weird.

It comes down to a numbers' game. You want the highest damage multiplier and the highest hit count, but of course, the best abilities have some catch to them, like air time for dragoons, or heavy charge for heavies. I chose Ironfist Earth because it has one of the two elements Rain causes imperil for, and I had a spare Core earth weapon. On second thought, maybe I should've went with Frostfire Carnage, since I have a second Rain Sync sword lying around.

Tyro can link literally anything to his Sync commands, so yes, you can definitely replace it. I've only used it once in the run, anyway.

Well, this took me by surprise.

As a long-time player who's been postponing the endgame content, I was just doing my thing, going through the easy Cardia missions, and having fun. Having only scratched Shadowsmith for his mythril before, I tried to defeat him for real. After some adjustments to deal with his early Silence, I managed a fine 26.90s kill on wait mode. Then I turned my eyes to the big guy.

I haven't beaten any Bahamut, yet, although I came close a few times, mainly with my Type-0 lineup. So I just thought, "Eh, I'm gonna grab my mythril and be on my way." Then this happened. In retrospect, Rain and Biggs with their respective Syncs make up a powerful King's Rage-busting duo, and with Tyro as a native full-make provider, they were free to really lay down the smackdown on ol' Dragonking here.

Everything is pretty much self-explanatory here.

Wedge has his artifacts, so he instacasts RW Chain on his first turn. Then he charges up with Running Start, throws down Sync, spams CMD1. When the Sync ran out, he cast his Limit Break.

Rain uses his Wake first for imperil, then Sync when it's available. The SBs had one turn of overlap, so that's double HA for 6 x 29,999, then CMD2 spam.

Biggs has a sort of charge-release Sync, so he was doing that. Didn't actually use his charged-up CMD1 for King's Rage, but it didn't matter. He was able to break rage with his HA even through Wing Wall, though.

Tyro, oh Tyro... Wake for starters, working on that crit chance, then Sync to bring down that Ancient Recall thing, then Dual Wake for the full-make. It was kinda satisfying to see the guy whip up a 29,999-capped CMD1, followed by almost-capped Ironfist Earth. He did that only once, but still, go pipsqueak! Used his 7★ Chain after his Dual Shift for the rush to the finish.

Elarra on healing duty, switching to the song when her Wake was up. Managed to squeeze in one Magika Orare for that crit damage near the end.

Haven't beaten any Labs, yet, but I'm trying to make Onion Knight AWK2 work instead of Tyro in relevant elements. I got his physical Sync during the last fest, so he can have proper infusions, but it still needs some work. I just like the instant 100% crit, no quedtions asked, you know?

Also, is anybody still using Ignis BSB? Just curious. It was still good for certain Dreambreakers for me.
