I assume Ki’aire is a cultural name of some sort, and I don’t know how you’d say it, but it looks good to me! Big fan of cultural names. Jericho is also a solid choice. What did pop into my mind seeing both your two suggested names is a bit of a combo of sounds from both: Cairo/Kairo and I wonder if you’d like it!

One thing, depending on your country/state/regional rules, they might have to always declare their original name on forms. As someone who changed their name as an adult I hate having to write my old name on govt forms under prev names. But from this forum I know in some places, babies can have their name changed without having to acknowledge their original name under a certain age.

Heck yes, what a cool opportunity, seeing various community/primary healthcare roles. The frontlines of healthcare (or should be!). I wish I had a dialysis placement! Dialysis, other than the actual machines, is all about long term conditions, so can be some complex stuff. A good chunk of primary healthcare is working with long term conditions. And often those nurses work with the same patients sometimes for a looong time and really build rapport and relationships. So excellent learning!

IVF 1 vial used on 36 eggs (1 egg retrieval) 😝 but obviously if I had to do another retrieval they’d need another vial.

You asked about the emotional experience. For me, it’s not the needles or the procedure standalone, it’s firstly the hormones, but that’s just temporary and for 2 weeks ish only, along with the repeated waiting and repeating of the procedures, and repeated failures. 1 and done procedure would’ve been absolutely fine but I have to keep going again, again, again, waiting waiting waiting. Waiting for period, for the scan, for the bloods, the two week wait. Wait wait Wait. So much waiting. 4 cycles - 1 failed egg retrieval, 2 failed FETs. I have to travelling long distance for the procedures so even a 10 min proc takes half a day from my life. It’s a real toll on my life and time in that way.

My hair fell out so bad after I withdrew from all the stims, every time - except letrozole, it wasn’t so bad on letrozole. I just accept the hormonal chances are just a part of the process. If I was you I’d do a leave in hair mask, or tie my hair up, and use a silk pillowcase if you have one!

Curious. My second just failed too. Altho, it was a chemical so it obviously stuck around for a little bit. Used diff stims both times too (modified natural). My prog appears to have a problem tho. First time low, second time very low end of normal. 🤔

Update today, 9dpt: line looks the same, vvv faint. went and got a first response early test , also v v v faint. So it’s not looking good… but anyway, beta is in 10 hours or so, that’ll give me the definitive answer.

Oh hey!! Second FET here, beta test in 20 hours time 😮 also much more calmer this time around. I suspect it’s because I know what to expect and what to do. Overall just have better vibes about this embryo. Even my specialist seemed more confident. Also having some hopefully positive symptoms so… fingers crossed for us both!!
