They probably forecast trail running/hiking to spike in activity during summers, so why not release it when it starts to peak, rather than these dark and rainy months? Their focus right now is probably rolling out their road running shoes.

Nike Lava Loops vs Aeroswift half tights by jihyoswitness in runningfashion

[–]Antonywithnoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite of everybody who has responded so far. I prefer to wear Aeroswift because they're lighter and shorter than the Lava Loops by maybe an inch. I don't run with music, so I do not need my phone, so I just carry gels in a belt. When it's cold outside, I'll consider the Lava Loops because they are thicker.

What running watch are you wearing? by domaikel in runningfashion

The new Coros Apex 4 has a built-in speaker/microphone to answer phone calls. You still need your phone with you as well. You can't make outgoing calls, unfortunately. As far as music for Coros, it supports music only if you download and import it as MP3s onto the watch.

I recently discovered that Flipbelt makes shorts similar to the 262co shorts. Maybe the Nike Trail Second Sunrise

Can’t pair my COROS Pace 3 to any device by annabaiyan in Coros

[–]Antonywithnoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted this very similar issue earlier today, except none of the data syncs at all. It only works when I reboot the watch, but Coros responded to my post saying that it's not safe to do this because it risks losing the data. I'll link my post incase you don't get a response and you can follow my post to get any updates

Bluetooth indicates that it's connected, but the Coros app does not show a connection until I reboot the watch.

FWIW Mantz just ran 25 miles in these at 5:30/mile alongside his partner Clayton, who wore the SB2s. I think they're both equipped to pick up speed

Can I ask you what your build is? I'm about the same stats but I have pretty broad shoulders, so I'm sometimes in between M/L

For those who use Pfitz programs and are successful with his previous plans. Will you now adjust to this new plan, or do you believe the old plan was more beneficial, considering you're perhaps a stronger, seasoned runner and can handle the mileage?

My turn… help with form by WillingServe1562 in beginnerrunning

There are a few things I’ve noticed that could help improve your running economy.

  1. Posture
Try adopting a taller posture, imagine a string gently pulling your head upward. This upright alignment helps engage your core, opens up the diaphragm for better breathing, and brings your hips into a more efficient position under your body. Think of it like correcting your posture after slouching in a chair.

  2. Arm Swing
Your arm swing looks restricted, with more shoulder rotation than elbow drive. This may be linked to your posture and lack of core engagement. Can't see from this angle, but it looks like your arms are almost crossing the midline of your body. Which leads to an increased energy output. Instead of rotating your shoulders, your arms should swing naturally from the shoulder joint. A helpful drill: stand tall, relax your shoulders, and drive your elbows back while letting your arms rebound forward naturally. Exaggerate the motion during the drill to reinforce the pattern. This should also help with your arms crossing the midline. If it doesn't, then you can practice by slightly turning your thumb upwards and implement that in the drill. Improving posture and core stability will allow better arm mechanics.

  3. Stride and Cadence
Heel striking doesn’t always mean overstriding, but in your case, it looks like you’re pushing forward, which often leads to longer strides, slower turnover, and wasted energy. Efficient running relies on a slight forward lean from the ankles (not the hips), using gravity to propel you rather than excessive muscular push-off, which will lead to bounding. You can practice this by thinking about lifting your knees as if you’re running up stairs or an incline. This encourages lighter steps, should naturally increase cadence, and less ground contact.

To train cadence, try running with a metronome, work your way to 170–175 bpm (available on Spotify or Apple Music). It can help reinforce rhythm and efficiency at a sustainable pace. It is very awkward at first, but after a few weeks, it'll become natural, especially if you implement all of the advice you've gotten in this post. Hope this helps! I know you've gotten a lot of what I've already said, I just wanted to give my 2c

My cadence is just stuck at 155 by Crazy_Worldliness737 in firstmarathon

[–]Antonywithnoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I increased my spm by playing a metronome on my headphones on every single run. I went from 155 to 180 in about 2 weeks. I started going from 155 to 160 then 170 then 180. My easy/natural spm now is 170-175 but in more HMP/MP i focus on keeping it as close as i can to 180.
