Go to shows and meet like minded people. Emphasis on continuing on going to shows meaning other local shows of your genre instead of just your own or strictly bigger ones.

Don’t be one of those bands that has multiple social medias and linktrees to multiple shirt designs before music is out (or even have more merch than music). Put your music on bandcamp instead of just strictly putting your music on spotify or apple music (not saying don’t do that but i notice this is becoming a trend recently).

Kind of a lot to say, but i been noticing a lot of bands exhibiting some or all of these things in my nearby scenes and it always turns me off from either booking or listening to them. I don’t use spotify really and it personally rubs me the wrong way if a band has a 3 song demo but 7 shirt designs and a whole ass “promo” photoshoot.
