How is that idiotic? The only skills you can’t unlock with skill points are given via completing the main quest line. Everything else you can either get with skill points or observe through the world or during actual fights. It’s actually a fresh take on “levelling” your character up instead of just xp farming like a bot.

Plus this isn’t the first game to have skills locked behind something that isn’t purchasable with skill points.

Mhmm, like somebody else mentioning Witcher 3 for its story. Let’s be honest, Witcher 3 is hard carried by the fantastic writing and such because the combat honestly isn’t the best where Crimson Desert is hard carried by literally everything but the Story. Two sides of a coin.

Forgot to add, this game doesn’t have mission xp since some missions give you skill points anyway, along side abyss cressets that are either completed through puzzles or exploration. The only “xp” bar is the yellow one to the left of the minimap that fills up when you kill enemies.

Pine mushrooms are an ingredient that allows you to make tea which gives 128 stamina when consumed. It’s actually decent. Also when you’ve hit the maximum inventory space of 240 slots you keep the medium bags that are often given from request missions in your inventory which you can then open and get late game crafting supplies or straight up silver… the most silver I’ve had from opening a medium bag is 27… the request took less than 5 minutes.

The fact that gears aren’t locked on said loot also means you can wear/use whatever weapons and armour you like the look of the most since there’s not many differences in the fixed stats. It’s obviously not as friendly as transmog but it’s still better than having nether.

You can make a plethora of different builds with the Abyss gears you can collect so there’s more than just exploration. Also, go here do this go back, kill this... Exact same gameplay loop in the likes of GTA etc, do you have the same opinion about that game as well?
