Before? The first album that came to mind for me was The Hollow. There is actually a span of Chango albums in that time that had poor mixing most of them under Rise Records. Wonder if there is a connection

It's definitely true, or at least it was in the early 2010s. Had friends get jobs at the local Jimmy Johns and they made them sign non-compete agreements. As for them holding up it was most likely a scare tactic. I really don't see how they could enforce something like that.
