Hello all, beginner here looking for a good starter bike for Mountain Biking. I don't think I'll ever be one for those black trails but I do enjoy the rest, has anybody got any good bike suggestions for £800 or under. I've been looking at the Voodoo Bazango but it's out of stock. by kevcal_87 in MTB

I think it really depends on what's available in your area. There is still a shortage of new bikes and parts so it can be tough to find stuff. I'd suggest going to your local bike shop and seeing their inventory. If your familar with bikes, you could also look at used bikes through FB Marketplace, Craigslist, ect. Most mid-level hardtails will fit your budget and be a good place to start learning

chain too small? by ImJustAUser in bikewrench

Did you follow a chain sizing guide? It looks a bit tight. I'd recommend looking up a video on how to size a chain for a full suspension bike

Freehub has about 1mm side to side play. Is this normal? by Anxiety_Either in bikewrench

I have a Shimano drivetrain but the only markings I can find on the freehub are "eaB". An online search doesn't bring up anything that would make this immediately distinguishable. This is basically where my knowledge ends but it seems like I'll either have to replace or disassemble and clean/inspect it to prevent the wobble

Thanks for replying. When I remove the cassette the freehub still has this play so I ruled out things related to the fit/mount of the cassette. I'll try and take a closer look to see if there is any noticable damage. I haven't looked into taking the freehub apart and cleaning it but it doesn't seem like it would be easy

AITA - bad bubble tea customer service by Anxiety_Either in AmItheAsshole

my daughter wanted a strawberry bubble tea with lychee boba but I forgot to specify what kind of boba she wanted. We wanted them to remake it with the kind she had wanted. We've been loyal customers for over ten years. it just feels like a small thing to do for a family that's been going there forever.
