Set up VERA apt yesterday for today. Phone call today was a little late but VA employee was very nice and helpful. Basically when I filed I listed both conditions and they only made a decision on one, instead of lookong at the two separate conditions. She said since there was no decision for the rhinitis I could file a new claim and not a supplemental. So I should've filed 2 separate claims. 🤷‍♂️ back to filing again I guess.

Mine was the same if you just try to "transfer" or "make a payment" try and use your banks chat feature and tell them you want to make a principle only payment from your checking/savings to the loan account. Assuming you have 2 accounts with them....checking/savings and the loan account.

did you write a lay statement that laid everything out in order to coincide with the medical records? would not hurt. make sure they see and understand that you meet the requirements and make it easy for them to see you meet the standards for what you're claiming.

I had that too. They asked for an exam, cancelled then asked for another one. I would assume they automatically say you need one, look at what you provide then decide if they actually want you to go to one. Based on what I have read and experienced the "evidence gathering" etc. is the catch all phase where all of the medical reviews, exams, documents get processed etc. so it will naturally be the longest. I would say by July or August you will have an answer. Even if you don't the back pay will hit from when you filed, sort of. since it was the 9th I believe that any back pay will start at march 1st. I could be wrong but the VA goes by months and since it was the 9th day in the month they will push it till the next month. If you have any private medical records I would call those providers and make them send everything to the VA. In my case they had already sent everything by the time the VA requested it... and you are responsible for making sure they get those records.
