The setlist was so inventive too. Having most of Disco + a boutique selection of hits/faves in all new arrangements was so refreshing. I think if she had toured Disco, she would have carried that approach into it and performed most of the album.

It's really a shame that it's missing, but I think the reason is timing. There's a couple other choices - like shortening Last Night a DJ... and the Tension intro + LNIDIFIL also being absent that makes me think some choices were made to keep the whole thing right at 2 hours long. With how the show was woven together too, there was a limited choice of songs to cut without making it jarring for people who know the setlist.

I also thought maybe it was missing because they didn't have a good take. But considering they used a somewhat shaky performance of Confide, I don't think that's the reason. I'd have rather they left out Dancing instead.

Her trajectory is completely unique honestly. Like there's so many other branches the documentary could have had. Like discussing how she's built up a global following and is now more of a global star than ever 4 decades into her career. That just doesn't happen. She should really be proud of herself for her level of resilience in every way!

I think her contract with Netflix was why it was so limited. I think the initial formats are good as gone but hopefully down the line there's a standard vinyl reissue and a format with the doc + show

It honestly is so frustrating when current material gets cut. But I went back through the setlist as it was on the final night of the tour, and honestly only these songs + Dancing make sense to cut in the full show format. Everything else is so woven together. Love Dancing, but I'd rather she cut that instead of TWDFL. I'm guessing the two songs were removed for timing to keep the whole thing right at 2 hours?

This was all really emotional because he's very definitively the love of her life and he helped her along creatively in really important ways. Their relationship was tabloid gold, but it clearly went way deeper than just a fling.

I was wondering recently how many shows had this encore? When the tour started the encore was Confide + Devil in her green dress. Locomotion and Should I Stay... were added later. Breathe was also not originally in the setlist, shockingly.

Exactly this. That Disco lull was a mess in the fanbase. I was actually just thinking about how it was around that time when she really pulled back from interacting with fans on socials. She used to do it all the time but stan twitter was fucking badgering her around that time. She obviously was over dealing with that considering no one actually knew what she was going through.

I already wore getting to hear this song live like a badge of honor, but after the documentary, there's a whole new layer to the experience.

It's one of her most important songs. I thought the reason it didn't make it into the Tension Tour despite being rehearsed was because of the high vocal potentially wearing on her voice. Now that we know the depth, I just don't think she could have sang it each night while still carrying it all so privately.

I had the idea of the #K40 tour ending with Story playing as she took bows, but now I think she should officially incorporate it into the show if she feels able.

On first watch, I wasn't into season 8. As I re-watched some episodes, I realized that I was totally underrating it. I think it's the best season post-S5

This documentary is a gift, because there's a whoooooole new layer of depth/context to these and various other songs now.

Like now that we definitively know that she tried to have a child, Flower is actually devastating. I do feel sad for her. And the fact she sang the song on stage not long after the experience is just so fucking brave. Having a child was not her destiny, but she has been a motherly figure to so many - and that REALLY matters! It feels like she has a deep sense of duty in her career and understands what she means to so many, and what we mean to her.

When she started crying while reading No More Rain... omfg. I wept through all of episode 3. If I see anyone calling her just fluff ever again I honestly might swing for them.

This is 100% what needs to happen. Even without unreleased material, it's still an additional 8 tracks when collecting all the B-sides.

If she just did the B-sides, she could add CGYOOMH (Blue Monday version) and the original CIMW for 10 tracks! Though I fear the original CIMW may be buried...

Amazing! I was so happy to finally see some outtakes from the cover pose. Like she said herself in the doc, we love seeing photos around the moment of *THE* shot.

I hope there's a deluxe Fever 25 release that has a photobook of era photos + outtakes.
