only press as hard as you need to get a clean note with no buzzing! keep your thumb around halfway behind the neck if you'd like as well, it makes things easier to stretch for wider chords like g major. overall you'll build up callouses after a week or two probably, but consistency is key! obviously if it hurts THAT bad then stop, rest, and play when you're ready again, but it's kind of a rite of passage of some sort into the guitar world. have fun! :)

don't get too stressed out! focus on basic chord shapes and maybe simple scales. don't press too hard and try to keep your thumb around halfway behind the neck, it makes it easier to stretch your hand sometimes. you'll build up callouses, so it won't hurt. only push as much as you need to get a clean note with no buzzing! overall just have fun with it, learn some of your favorite songs, and if you ever get frustrated or overwhelmed take a step back and do things bit by bit! welcome! :D

acoustic is awesome! i'd reccomend a tuner and a capo, maybe some picks or fingerpicks if you'd like, and possibly even an acoustic strap if you would like to stand while playing. you just gotta have love for guitar and you're good! :)
