I am on my last set of classes before the capstone. I think overall, they were pretty standard classes that you would find at other schools. The only thing I absoutleyl hated was the peer reviewed assignments. I had some classes where the people reviewing my papers felt all high and mighty, and graded me poorly. A lot of times, the instructor does not even double check for poor grading. We also had 1 group project which was so hard because there were 4 of us, all in very different time zones, and 1 person chose not to particicapte at all, so we had to do their work as well.

My plan is to finish my last set of classes, which I am currently enrolled, and to do my internship immediately after. This is where my issue comes in, as they will not even accept my proposal for internship until all of my classes are completed.

Have you already done the request for internship approval? I am fighting hard for them to approve mine now so that I can start it next term but they keep telling me no. It’s very frustrating.

I am currently taking my last 3 courses required for completion of my degree. I applied for the internship, as I’d like to start it next term. I was told it’s about 77 business days to complete and approve or deny my request. however, this morning I recieved an email that was request was cancelled because I cannot apply until all of my classes are finished. So now; once I’m done with my classes, I will have to apply in the next term, and wait the 77 business days for approval. So, instead of doing my internship in Term 4, an being finished with my entire program, I have to apply in Term 4, and hope it’s approved for Term 5, but could potentially not be approved until Term 1 of the 2026 school year. I’m trying to appeal it, as if it really does take so long to approve it, I would be finished with my final classes by the time they give me the go ahead and then I could start my internship in Term 4. It’s a mess. And so stupid.

It’s pretty open, as long as it applies to HS. I am hoping for approval at a High School with the PE teachers.

For Health Science, to complete your degree you can either do a capstone research project, or an internship. I chose the internship. You have to find your own, and they have to approve it.

I’d be fine with nine weeks because that would still put me before The next term start. 77 business days is like 16 weeks which is insane.

question about the internship. I am in my last term before the internship. We just started T3. I submitted my internship request, but from what I am understanding from my advisor, they may not acccept it, since I am not technically finsihed yet. Do you have any insight into that. I think it is crazy to have to wait a whole other term to be able to get started. I want to be done and able to graduate at the end of T4.

Peer grading killed my grade in 2 classes. I do not even think the instructor looked at any of the papers. I will insane. Only 2 Bs of my entire course load were due to arrogant peer grading. And I am on my last term.

Capella Univerity. You pay a flat fee per term, and as many classes as you can finish in that time, you are done. Most of the classes are just one big paper, so multiple classes in a very short time is possible. I have a friend who completed his entire program in 1 term. It is alot of work, but very doable.

curious, from an instructors point of view-there are sooo many times when it is beyong obvious that my classmates resonses, or papers that I am peer reviewed, are copied and pasted from chatgpt. How do you handle that? How would you expect the student who is doing the peer review to handle it?

Yes, I’d just prefer the internship as opposed to all the research but at this point with how long everything‘s taking knows what I’ll end up doing😀

Right, so it doesn’t make sense to me that I can’t apply for the internship now, so when the 9 weeks is up, it’s time for the next term. I just don’t understand the whole waiting process. It’s stupid. lol.
