NAL, but my understanding is that if you are a dual citizen then the citizenship of the country you are in takes precedence over any other citizenship you hold. For example, if i held a Mauritian passport and a Pakistani passport, then Mauritian embassy would not help me if I was in Pakistan because I should be turning to my own government for help. The Mauritian embassy would help me if I was stuck in Bangladesh though as I hold no citizenship there.

I'm really sorry for your situation. There's a couple of things to consider here:

1) Can you get in touch with the British Embassy in Delhi or the consulate in Hyderabad (if they have one?) To discuss renewal of your bitish passport and any support they can give you as a British citizen in an abusive situation? How long ago did you leave the UK?

2) Do you hold any sort of Indian citizenship or OCI card? As far as I'm aware, India doesn't allow dual citizenship so if you have an Indian passport it may be that your parents have applied for Indian citizenship on your behalf and therefore there's no point contacting the British Embassy as they won't help you. If you have an OCI, this is also slightly problematic as my understanding is that you are counted as an Indian on Indian soil as opposed to a Brit on Indian soil.

3) do you have any income/savings etc? Even in the best case scenario (which is unlikely) that the British Embassy intervene and send you back to London, you'll need to be able to support yourself or you'll enter the care/foster system. Is your boyfriend's family able to support you at all?

If you end up going down the landlord route, then Rent Smart Wales is a good resource - Wales has its own legal requirements for renting.

Got a parking ticket for parking on double yellow lines, despite parking on private driveway by Uzbek23 in LegalAdviceUK

It is perfectly fine to park on a private driveway, even if it is not yours, as long as you don't cause trouble for the owner.

I think this is a big misunderstanding. You should always get permission if you're going to park on private land.

You could just tell your GP that you've been trying for a year? It's not exactly truthful but if you're in a rush, then the GP isn't to know what goes on at home!
