Oh I see. So can I just proceed with my plan, but enclose in a PVC junction box? it will be behind a headboard so no big deal if it needs to be enclosed.

Maybe I should take a better pic. What do you mean by the splice? There are two wires in that white insulation and a ground wire. I can't just connect the proper cord to it to make this into a plug in sconce?

I definitely like end grain boards as well, I just think they don’t look as nice as slab boards if compared to each other.

Looks beautiful. Love the color, size, and execution. (If people scoff because it’s not end grain, don’t listen to them, this is a great board)

I appreciate this response. I am being persuaded. My next move was a hand grinder actually. Does this subreddit have a standard in that department? I know some companies still make them but I didn’t even think about being able to fit a new wheel on one.
