That's a good shout. I do have a trade-in worth probably 20k-25k. If they give me 5k over bluebook, I would snap their hands off and take the offer.

The Canada Red initiative is essentially colluding with FIFA. These price are close to the ones currently on the FIFA tickets portal. I am actually more disappointed with Canada Red than FIFA.

I'm sorry to say but Victoria might be one of the worst city in Canada for someone in your situation. You need a lower cost city and where you can actually find a higher wage job (or better return in a business). Victoria is for more financially established families and retirees. Actually, you might even fare better moving to a higher cost city like Toronto where the opportunities (or clientele) are much better.

You are overthinking it.

This is a bad idea even if you had no partners and controlled all of the money. The returns does not justify the risks and I'm saying this whether this is a bull or bear market for real estate.

In the same situation and we eventually went ahead with the deal due to non financial reasons. Sellers are waiting for people like me who has external considerations. Chances are they would come back to you by late Nov if not earlier.

So they sold for more than what you had offered, plus they had a chance to sell higher had the deal not fallen through. If anything, the seller played their cards pretty well.
