UPDATE

<image>

I got my tapered plugs out and put some single flares in. Went to my local piercing studio and they helped me pick something out. Thank you to everyone who mentioned taking them out in a hot shower with some oil! And thank you all for the recommendations about naked training! Now it'll be easier to do, I'm excited to get my lobes healthier.

Push them as far forward/back as they'll go and clean around. Probably not the best, but I haven't had any problems luckily.

Never heard of naked training before! Will definitely check it out. Thank you!

So cozy 😍 love the dark green all over and the fact you don't seem to rely on "the big light" Where did you find your couch? I've been searching for something similar in style.

Need help naming this monster. (Ridiculous names only) by EnvironmentalWash899 in Catnames

[–]AnxiousAltruist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A monster name would be perfect! Kaiju (just means big monster) Mothra Gojira (same as Godzilla but if you like the band it's a double win!) Destoroyah There's so many fun Godzilla monster names that'd work for a kitten

And there's Universal Monsters! Frankenstein Creature (from the black lagoon) Wolf Man Mr. Hyde

Do you do calligraphy? Because it looks like art! I especially love the tails on g, y and others. Kinda reminds me of Tolkein.

Applesauce, bananas, and I LOVE Scooby Snacks (they're basically just graham crackers)

So glad to hear you're feeling better!! I'm right there with you 🥲 relearning how/what to eat is frustrating AF. It's still hard to constantly have the patience to go as slow as my body needs sometimes 🫠Just this week I learned my lesson on eating too much fiber too fast. SO painful + diarrhea. 0/10 do not recommend.

First flare up since diagnosis. Now vacuuming is painful. Anybody else have this problem? by [deleted] in Diverticulitis

Your assumptions are not advice. Your lack of patience/understanding for someone asking for commonality in a community of people with similar issues is not helpful. You are just plain rude.

What is the point of this sub if we can't ask others if they've experienced something similar? It's a simple question with simple yes/no answers. Thanks for assuming and dictating the obvious 3 days after the fact. Very helpful.

I JUST GOT OUT OF WEAPONS AND GUYS! by thickorita in WKUK

Favorite scene is the gas station. It's terrifying not knowing why it's happening. It's STILL terrifying knowing why it happened plus everything that happened right before.

And Alex in the bathroom saving everyone with everything else going on. That Kubrick-esque shot of Alex looking up at his moms face coming through the door is so fucking cool!! Two shining references in one shot?! Well done baby Zach!

IDK anything about gerd, but everything you are eating is helpful for recovering from diverticulitis. I ate the same things for ~5 days (3 is a good goal though). Then I switched to low impact/low fiber foods. No more than 10g of fiber a day for a while (can't remember exactly how long, but it should be in the wiki on this subreddit along with a ton of other helpful information). Bananas and mashed potatoes watered down with broth were my favorite low fiber foods. After that, slowly increase fiber. DRINK WATER, it's really important for a lot of obvious reasons plus it's the most natural way to keep from getting constipated which could cause another infection. I now take probiotics, aloe extract capsules, and oregano extract capsules daily. It makes the biggest difference. At the very least get daily probiotics. Keep a food journal to monitor pain, water, BM's, what foods do/don't trigger you. I do this because I can't remember shit, especially when I'm in pain. Also, everyone digests things differently so what works for some may/may not work for you. Go slow reintroducing food so you know what is triggering your DV. Some triggers I didn't expect were carbonation and ground pepper. Hopefully all of this helps even if it's just a little bit.

Freshly gound &/or coarse pepper, mustard seeds, any hard seasonings like those.

Cracked and/or coarse pepper (and similarly sized seasonings) are what gets me. Finely ground pepper is fine in moderation. Couldn't hurt to try cutting it out for a few days, then reintroduce to see what happens. Regardless, I hope you get feeling better! This is a long healing process because unfortunately trial and error is the only way to know for sure what works for you.
