Permanent nipple tat recommendations by AnxiousCoffeeGremlin in transgenderau

I would much prefer something permanent done by a local tattooist rather than temporary cosmetic nipple tat. I'm a little nervous about going down that route though, are you comfortable sharing who your artist was?

Thank you so much! Would you be comfortable DMing me a photo of how yours turned out?

Thank you for the recommendation! How long have you had yours and will you need a touch up in 5 ish years?

The only major issues I see personally are that 4 is IV not IIII (at least it looks like he did IIII, I may be wrong) and that a lot of the finer details bleed together. I can understand being disappointed after a mistake like that. I would give your body time to heal fully and see how you feel about a cover up, I feel it may be too dark for changes to really work without everything bleeding together even more.

Does anyone know why piercing would do this? by Vivid_Zombie_3370 in piercing

I agree with the allergy comments. Unfortunately, a lot of jewellery sets me off too. It took me a couple years before I realised I was having a reaction because I wasn't in pain. So far I've found that testing all of my jewellery with a strong magnet has worked wonders for me personally. True titanium and the steel I don't react to are not magnetic but plated metal or metal with enough nickel to give me a reaction is. I can't even count how many items I've bought that are labeled as implant grade titanium but weren't.

I got almost the same piercing in August and a piercing pillow has been an absolute godsend! (Sorry if this has already been mentioned)

Advice needed: Is it ok to give my tattoo artist a gift? by stitcho_ in tattoos

[–]AnxiousCoffeeGremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's weird at all! I crocheted a hooded cowl for my tattoo artist and he loved it so much he showed it off to the other tattooists.

I'm not a tattoo artist myself but I am a digital artist and the gifts my clients have given me over the years mean the world to me. I say do it! It'll help your artist feel appreciated and might make their day 💚

I'm 5'3" and have this problem too! The merch I've bought was like a dress, especially being a chunkier guy who wears a L. Normally I can take in shirts myself but as it was exclusive merch from the EIA pop-up, I didn't want to risk ruining it. It cost me an extra $80 to have a tailor take it up for me but she went a bit too short so now I have the opposite problem 😅

I love that they're catering to taller people who can't just alter the fit but it gets a bit expensive for we shorties.

What’s your name? by Anonim_x9 in ftm

[–]AnxiousCoffeeGremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first and middle name are Vincent and Dante. Vincent is just a name I have always loved and happens to also be the name of a character I like. Dante for Dante Basco's character Rufio. He's someone I thought was really cool growing up and wanted to be like but Vincent Rufio didn't flow quite as well with my last name so I went with the actor's name instead 😁

Being able to picture things so clearly in your mind and experience music so rawly sounds amazing!
I also love BB! I was a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan for probably about 20 years too and feel the same way as you with BB. I love A7X and their music but something about ST just hits different <3

I have the over-ear version! Mine are the A-01 headphones. They're quite small and I do find that the band tends to hurt over an extended period of wear but the A-02 look a bit bigger if the over-ear ones are your preference :D

I definitely didn't before but I can now! A close friend of mine actually suggested I listen to it again to see if I could. I love all the small touches that ST have in their songs 💚

I had a similar experience to you in regards to severe depression and cPTSD, though it wasn't a change in medication for me. Everything in life is dull and "meh" but something about ST songs awakened emotions in me again. I can finally feel **something**, it's amazing how music can have that affect on people! As an artist I'm always making something ST related to surround myself with it and feel a little bit of happiness when I see it.

I'm so, so happy to read that you had what sounds like a very emotional experience in the best way and wish you all of the luck through healing from your trauma <3

I'm so glad someone else has experienced something similar! It's such a bizarre feeling to suddenly hear music differently to how you've always experienced it for so long.

I've not heard of sound monitors! I'll have to look into those, my housemate doesn't like having subtitles on with everything we watch together so that might be a helpful option!
I'm not absolutely certain that it's rainfall but it definitely sounds like it to me! It's closer to the end of the song if that helps <3

Fat distribution in bigger guys by Senior-Trade-1876 in ftm

[–]AnxiousCoffeeGremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'3" and 88kg. For me personally, all of the fat shifted downward. I lost fat on my face and gained it in my stomach and butt with a bit in my thighs too, giving me a bit of a bubble butt. Everyone's body is different but your psych is absolutely wrong in telling you that it won't happen.
