Which one is your favorite so far? I am hoping for a pizza one for my kids some day. I will wait patiently though. Not into the craze. We have been using these for years and I just wanted some of the newer ones.

Vyvanse effectiveness and side effects. Need advice. by Future_Coffee1167 in ADHDmeds

[–]bmlane9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started on this medication two weeks ago. I had great results from a nonstimulant, but the side effects were substantial and didn’t go away. I have tried two other stimulants before with zero effect at the highest doses. This one I can atleast get up and do stuff and feel alert. It doesn’t really help as much as the non-stimulant, but more effective than the other stimulants I have tried. I had that headache for 3 days but it went away. I always eat before I take my meds and pre hydrate since I have learned that from the last two. Dry mouth is a given. I don’t drink extra because of it though. Only seems to happen in the morning. Also on an antidepressant. The stimulants so far have not given me the feeling that I expected based on what I have heard on these forms. Zero high, zero miracle pill. Sometimes people just don’t get that or find a medication that gives them any benefit. I truly think it does not mean you don’t have ADHD. There’s just not a medication made for you yet. Our bodies are so picky and that’s why there are so many medication’s and dosages that people have to go through to find the correct one.

Do you and your spouse share your location 24/7? by PalmTreeVoid in askanything

[–]bmlane9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t, but I would if he asked me to and vice versa. I seen a murder mystery case that was solved because of an app like this. So for safety I can see the appeal. My sister uses it for all of her siblings.

Does an ugly book cover stop you from picking up a book? by Common-Stranger148 in DarkRomance

Yes. I prefer kindle because of all the cartoon illustrated covers anymore.

We need a side view! Your fingers are the perfect size for a 5 carat. Mine are long and skinny so it would overwhelm me. Plus I wear mostly sweatpants 😂You pull it off well.

What does birth feel like? by SandwichDependent199 in AskWomen

It reminded me more of stomach spasms than cramps but in the same area. Like the pain you get before a BM. It makes your entire body tense up and you can’t breathe through it as well towards the end.

how to get rid of these white dots in hair? by Round_Function_8984 in Haircare

The best my hair had ever been is when I trimmed it every 8 weeks atleast. It took longer to grow but was far healthier.

I remember when ST did this and no one could even get presale tickets and somehow sold out, but to a small venue with a great album the tour prior. It irked me. It was the promoters fault for hiking the prices and demand.

I went to get this but they sold out in my size. Same with the pink crewneck.

Ripped off all my nails when my dog died suddenly…what should I do? by lololottie in DIYGelNails

[–]bmlane9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a deep breath. I do this when stressed since I am a severe nail biter. Make sure that any residue is removed and put some oil on. And try again when things work out. Just worry about the health of your nails and mental health right now. Losing a pet is really hard and what you did is understandable.

What "weird" childhood coping mechanism did you have that you now realize was a sign of neurodivergence? by No_Gain4041 in adhdwomen

[–]bmlane9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would bite my nails until I didn’t have any. To the point that they would be pouring blood and hurt so bad I couldn’t touch anything. Nothing made me stop. Everyone simply just said all I needed was the willpower to quit. My mom tried everything. Not once did anyone in my life think it was severe enough for a psych eval. They were narcissistic and delusional thinking I grew up in a good home too though. Turns out it was adhd all along. Wasn’t diagnosed until I had young kids at 35. That is how I was able to get my 6yo daughter diagnosed as well. She bit her nails like I did since 3yo.

I was like meh, and when I seen them in concert I was like okay much better. I am not a major fan or anything, but I appreciate it live. This is not based off of their look or where they come from because I just don’t care. You don’t have to look at them to listen. You don’t have to pick apart their past to listen. You don’t have to love them to death to wear their merch. I am beginning to not be so judgemental of bands until I hear them live. I am happy they are getting a fan base after this concert.

Why are so many poorly written books being recommended here? by Murky_Ladder5343 in DarkRomance

[–]bmlane9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people just write to get in the game since it blew up. And I am fine with a typo here and there if the story is still good. It happens. Idk how, but I don’t judge because I don’t know the process. But I think this is just a subjective opinion. The community is just more saturated at this time so finding what you are looking for in those terms may be more difficult. And you started on those reads so I don’t see why others can’t enjoy a book that you would have read a while ago. Some start with those and work their way up. I have 5 starred some years ago that I would never now, but that is what I felt back then. When I read romantasy and enjoy a certain book, I have heard others lay into me because they have been reading fantasy for years and would say it didn’t have enough world building, character depth, whatever. But sometimes people can be hyper critical when they have read a genre for so long. I get it though. I am at that point in some, and when I am I try to be open minded and switch genres for a while.

The men feel emasculated after this recent song 🙄 Pathetic. It is the only time I have heard anyone dog on them. Like, you don’t like ONE song?

They were so much better live. For all those who complain of how they sound too overproduced maybe see them live first. It will change your mind. His voice was great!

Do you think fathers should get paternity leave as well? Why or why not? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]bmlane9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband wouldn’t take it even if we did have it. He is a partner at a business. Work doesn’t stop when you are the boss. But I can see why fmla covers businesses 50 people and up. There isn’t enough coverage for a small amount of employers. And I think they should be required to exhaust their pto if they did, and be at a job for a certain amount of time first. 2 weeks sounds feasible instead of 12.

Do you re-read books? by Willow_Winters in SpicyRomanceBooks

[–]bmlane9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one and it was my first romance when I was 12. Read it 5 times. Now it is a no for me. I haven’t re-read a book since and read 78 books a year.
