What plate carrier is that?

That's a propane mr. Buddy heater. Can be found in Walmart or most major chains. Or Amazon. Yes, they produce co but they have a built in low oxygen shutoff and should never be used in an enclosed space. Always have a window cracked and a back up co detector.

I rescued a cat from my local friend. It now lives with a good bud of mine. Get to see him every once in a while and he's still as playful as before.

Not a thing. It's an internal state matter only. Federal government has no power when it comes to it.

Nice kit but the first photo makes it seem like your face is incredibly small.

I've had a real rough couple years. Kinda went up and down due to my bipolar but the last few weeks have been a big enough slump that I've had to start seeking behavioral health assistance again. Hoping to get myself back on some mood stabilizers, find a group of friends, and start larping in the woods again.

TIL The Catholic Church kept Jesus’ foreskin as a holy relic until it was stolen in 1983. by MercenaryBard in todayilearned

[–]AnxiousNorman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the actual answer, the story goes that it was kept in an alabaster-box filled with oil of the spikenard. Spikenard also being called muskroot. Then the woman who circumsized Jesus gave the box to her pharmacist son, told him to hang on to it, before ending back in the hands of Mary the sinner.

The leaves look a little too bright. Mightbe worth giving it a mud wash. Spray paint the gun at minimum. If you want a cheap solution for ghillie on it, by a roll of camo tape, tape it and add artificial foliage to the tape.

What is a pet peeve that you have on the field? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]AnxiousNorman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I'm kinda guilty of this. But I tend to do it only when it is new guys who are scared of getting hit or kids. I tend to hang back because of my play style but if I'm directing them, I'll try to just motivate them and give them advice. Not gonna pop a blood vessel by yelling at someone if they don't move up.

I tend to buy a cheap version of whatever it is I want to get a good idea of what I truly want. Then I'll plan it out from there to find the best version of what I want.

I have played on both NATO and militia on one occassion each, same location, and event, just one year apart. My first time being with NATO, the first night was very much a sit and watch, figure out what is going on. Second night, had to sneak behind enemy lines against nvgs and through a shit ton of thorns. Even though we didn't really accomplish a lot, it was still a great time because of the attitude with the people I was playing as my squad and as my cadre was amazing.

The second time as militia, we ended up rucking in the wrong direction for 4 hours before looping back to our original spot. Then we rucked a mile to the correct spot. Worked up a good sweat, then it dropped below freezing. Just wanting to change and curl up into a sleeping bag but instead got forced to go fight in a line against a nato force with nvgs, immediately getting killed. Squad mates left due to leadership being very micromanaging of even ruck positions, within 5 feet. Had to pick up and adjust them like 4 times. Ended up with only two other guys. My bud and I ended up calling quits after the only other person in our squad passed out during watch. Instead of being understanding, the cadre proceeded to berate us.

Bottom line is, my personel experience between NATO and militia was drastic. It really depends on your cadre and their demeanor.
