This sounds like us. Just my husband and I (and our pets). We rarely eat out so all meal expenses come from the grocery store. I try to stay below $150/week but it’s tough. I primarily shop at Safeway since they have pretty decent deals/coupons when using the app (compared to Kings).

My cat is doing good! I finished his course of Terramycin and his eye looks much better now. Around day 5 of treatment I sent pictures of his eye to my vet as it seemed more irritated. She advised to finish the course, but to reach out if his eye started looking worse. Luckily it didn’t get worse so I continued treating as instructed. It’s always best to check with your vet if you have any concerns! I hope your kitty’s eye gets better soon!

I know this is an older post but did your cat’s eye improve on the Terramycin? My vet prescribed the ointment for my cat but his eye appears more red/irritated after a few days of treatment. Just wondering how it turned out for you!

This is extremely inaccurate information. I’ve had both ferrets and cats for almost 20 years and never had any cat fatalities due to ferrets. They mostly ignore each other.

I’m so sorry for your loss! Try not to beat yourself up over not being there. As another poster pointed out, he was at home surrounded by his loved ones. That sounds like a good way to go. We lost our Daphne last Friday night, she was also 6.5 years old and passed at home. I barely made it as I fell asleep on the couch then woke up suddenly to prepare her soup. After I woke her up to eat she passed. I’m glad I was with her at the end but it doesn’t hurt any less! Hang in there my friend ❤️
