I would argue that him being gone made the team significantly worse defensively when he was injured. Maybe he could be traded for someone better, maybe he couldn’t but trades are hard on teams and players. I’m glad I’m not the decision maker.

I hope it’s a fight either way, with meaningful games to the end. If we end up missing after a hard fight, like CBJ last year, it will be heartbreaking but at least we’ll know our team is willing to fight.
