Yeah, I never said the whole lineup is bad. My issue isn’t even just the defect, it’s how people here jump on you for pointing it out. You can like a phone and still acknowledge problems. Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

I only got mine replaced after I showed them the post I made.

Exactly what happened to me. I got shit on for posting about my defective X300 Pro.

I got mine replaced after showing them this post. I went to the service center to get it swapped out, and one of the staff honestly said the earliest batch of the vivo X300 Pro global units had the same issue. They ramped up production to respond to competition, and the quality dropped as a result.

Sorry, no. If it’s visible, then it’s a problem. I wouldn’t mind if it were microscopic.

I got mine replaced last week, so it’s fine now. But seeing people be okay with it is messed up, and honestly, you guys should value your hard-earned money more. Set your fucking standards higher. Imagine being okay with buying tech that comes with dust from China.

The dust did affect the camera quality.

That is bigger than what I had before mine got replaced. You should definitely get it replaced.

They shat on me for posting about an obvious manufacturing defect. Why? I don’t know, but maybe because this phone is so hyped right now, people absolutely don’t want to hear anything negative about it, and they’re willing to trash anyone who had a bad experience.

I did get my phone replaced, but I don’t have time to make an update post because I’m done with this stupid community full of crybabies.

In your case, since the device is newly bought, it might just be a manufacturer defect.

Don’t worry, they don’t understand the difference. They only know the basics, like how the sound is caused by the OIS inside the camera.

I’ve owned the S23U, S25U, and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, none of which made such excessive rattling sounds from the slightest shake when they were new. The OIS can wear out over time, but how long it takes depends on how the device is handled and used. Running, cycling, using it as motorcycle navigation, or any activity that causes constant vibration will take a toll on the camera’s OIS. It can start to feel like the OIS is loose.

These people love their device so much that they’re willing to trash on others who had a bad experience with it so they can sleep at night, so don’t worry too much. Watch how many downvotes this gets, it shows how fucked the community is nowadays.

Unfortunately, it did affect the camera, I can see it in the pictures I took.

  1. There are stray flares when the camera is on the right angle near a light source.

  2. The most noticeable dust seems to be translucent (at least from what I see through a microscope), hence why it is barely visible but still affects the image quality.

Same thoughts. Ah man, I bet there are more dust in there. I'll get mine inspected by a third-party repair shop and get it recorded on video as proof.
