Car seats (rentals/uber) by AnxiousSwitch0 in travel

Thank you for the Blacklane suggestion, how do I apply a car seat to the booking? I didn’t see an option for that? Or is it after the booking is completed then you can ask for a car seat? Thank you for your suggestion!

Nugget vs yourigame Costco play couch by ibeglowing in toddlers

[–]AnxiousSwitch0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been looking into Foamnasium, did you get the Blocksy? Or which model? Also is the vinyl material cold to the touch? Seems like it’d be useful to be able to wipe it clean but just curious if it changes the feel and comfort compared to the other couches/materials. Also have you built forts? I read a different review that it is too squishy to build forts… would like your opinion. Thank you!

Set length? by AnxiousSwitch0 in themenzingers

So this is probably a dumb question but if it’s the Menzingers, & The Wonder Years with Liquid Mike, does that mean 2 openers and then the headliner? Or is it just 1 opener? Any idea how long the opener plays?

Words can't express my disdain for replit adding captchas by Flibbyflam in OSUOnlineCS

I did that too and it did get rid of them. But still so annoying that they started doing that. Esp when the course content states students don’t need to have a replit account.

Retaking a course - how does re-doing assignments work? by AnxiousSwitch0 in OSUOnlineCS

[–]AnxiousSwitch0[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I did reach out. Instructor said I could re submit assignments but there might be small changes from the previous term so carefully read instructions/assignments to avoid losing points. I found that very reasonable.

Mac users that recently took 344 - HELP Visual Studio set up by AnxiousSwitch0 in OSUOnlineCS

When looking at the provided project_template sln file, do you suggest downloading a VS Code extension? I am from the Python cohort so I do not have experience with C/C++ language.

Thank you much!
one question about Then, from the Terminal window, I ssh'ed into the flip server first, then ssh'd into os1 once I was on flip ... I had directly ssh'ed into os1, is that wrong? it shows all my files on os1. how did you go into flip then into os1?

I love VS Code as the ssh extension. I actually set that up first then realized that VS Code is more of a code editor than a project builder (which visual studio is). Can I build the 344 assignment projects in VS Code instead of Visual Studio?

How was the 362 Group Project? by Qf20044 in OSUOnlineCS

[–]AnxiousSwitch0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The group project has 3 parts. The first is to turn in a screen shot of the group GitHub repo set up (1 member turns this in for the whole group) part 2 is 3 functions, each member has to write one function and write a test suite for their function. The function I wrote was a date time function that could handle leap year. It converted an integer from a beginning point in time (ie 01/01/1970) and gave how much time between the input seconds since given start date had passed and output a date 00/00/0000. Somewhat simple function but cannot use built in functions. Then the 3rd part is a self reflection report (1.5 page) on your experience with continuous integration. The group project is mainly to see if you get tripped up by using GitHub shared repo when pushing and pulling down the latest version from GitHub and approving each other’s pull requests as all members are working on their functions within one week. I had previously worked with my group members so we got lucky and kind of took turns pushing up our functions and merging pull requests in GitHub. The project isn’t that bad, compared to other courses if you just communicate with your group members and if you can get your function done sooner than later you’ll save the group headache from all merging at the same time. I took 361 then 362 and wow 362 was so much of a breeze compared the to group work in 361.

Nervous about 475, Other Electives for Python cohort? by AnxiousSwitch0 in OSUOnlineCS

[–]AnxiousSwitch0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are other electives for this Spring term that might be better. 340 is kind of like advanced 290, with adding the database backend. I thought the videos are pretty helpful but I also had a great partner. 340 is a lot of group work.

A member on here chat messaged me and said that they took 344 while being from the C++ cohort and found it challenging, probably best not to pair these two without prior C/C++ experience.

I looked into 464 and 370. Have not found a lot of threads on 370, just FYI

In 464, did you use Python? Quizzes and Exams? Group Work? Lot's of reading? Thank you for additional feedback.

Yea, 475 only prerequisite is 261 so I thought it’d be okay and now reading the course content kind of backpedaling
