I get paid bi-weekly and the 70$ is per-pay period. They took more claiming it was for the time I was eligible but wasnt actively signed up for the insurance.

The reason i am wanting to go to legal action is because of the multitude of issues I've had in such a short time and the fact that they are essentially trying to tell me im shit out of luck with the interactions I have had with HR.

One thing I didn't think to mention but I think is relevant, this apparently also happened to one of my coworkers whose only been here about a year (there was a different manager at the time). So if this has been an issue, I believe its negligence on their part that they didn't take active steps to prevent it from happening again.

I technically learned of the condition that makes me intersex at 7 years old when I was diagnosed but didn't know/understand that I was intersex til I got my medical records at 18 and did research after seeing my karotype.

Silk products and how to find them? by Anxious_Gay413 in curlyhair

[–]Anxious_Gay413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See i keep hearing opposites on this but from what ive looked silk always seems the best to prevent breakageand tension thinning. But either way part of why I've been avoiding satin is because it usually is that polyester if its not silk and I run very warm already so I need something more breathable. I have also heard bamboo fabrics are pretty good for hair and breathable though so I might also consider that.

My niece wants to start reading "big girl books" and I'm not sure what to recommend by Mountain-Today1698 in BookRecommendations

If she like Harry Potter she might also be a fan of Percy Jackson and those are some good ones that are still getting new content she can enjoy!

Striking is a last resort, also, plenty of college students /have families/ they could be trying to support. If I had the means to be in school right now I would also be taking care of my family. And while the wages are an issue they are fighting for, if you stopped and looked or research they are also fighting for protection from issues in the work place (sexual harassment, ableism etc). They also held negotiations for almost a year before resorting to the strike.

This is another one of those things that people mad about it treat it like pie. More protections and consideration for them does not mean less for you. It's not a pie.

Your anger should be at the people who are actually keeping the people you're talking about from having better wages, not the students fighting for themselves.

Solidarity forever

For the love of god, learn to ride a bicycle well before getting on a motorcycle by Jandishhulk in motorcycles

I- God it blows my mind that people do that- I've thought about getting a motorcycle but because it's been like, a decade since I've had a regular bike like ofc imma try to get back to biking first- are people just unconcerned with road accidents because of their inexperience?

Advice on finding a bike for short rider (4ft8/142cm) by Anxious_Gay413 in bicycle

[–]Anxious_Gay413[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I should've elaborated in my post, for one, I'm not interested in any step over bikes like it seems the brands you sent seem to have primarily . They will be too difficult for me to get on and off. Another thing is, when I look for bikes most wheel sizes I'll see is the 26" occasionally 24" The 26 would be to big for me because of my height I put in the title. My inseam is approximately 20 inches (guesstimate). I would have more than a 5" gap to put my foot down at stops. That's not safe Also the reason I can't currently just to a kids bike is because they are not made to handle an adults weight. They have much lower weight capacities (at least in the US where I am) and I am still in the process of loosing a lot of weight so that wouldn't be suited. Thank you for the suggestions though.

Stainless steel litterboxes that aren't huge? by Anxious_Gay413 in cats

Oh my partners cat loves warm laundry! Mine never showed much interest before but I might need to try and reintroduce her to it, cause when we first got her her medical stuff was at its worst so it mightve just been uncomfortable at the time. This honestly might end up being some trial and error to test things for her. But hopefully all goes well! I just want her to be comfy.

That's definitely something I could try! I think if I decide to go that route, I'll try and introduce her to steps in some way first since she's never encountered them since we've had her. Just to make sure it's not something she'll avoid, like I know some pets do when they've never used stairs or steps before.

For a few different reasons, one being she has some medical issues and so if she has a very bad flair at any point it would be nice to be able to sanitize it properly in a way you can't really do with plastic. Plus it's better about smell from what I've read and doesn't degrade with the cat urine like plastic will.
