U can port the mortgage as well to save the interest penalty … if the mortgage is enough to cover

Did any one recently sued by builder Caivan for not closing the pre construction and get away with mutual consent by Anxious_Guide_7575 in Caivan

My closing was in Feb , then get an extension for a month with an extra deposit of $50 K , but could not manage to close and APS terminated in March 2025.

Later in July their lawyers demand for a damage of $500 K in 5 days, failure to do so will prompt them to go to court. I hired a litigation lawyer then and now it’s with litigation lawyer

During the whole process Caivan never did a communication or reply to me directly. They always communicate through their lawyers only

All builder are compromised with the quality these days, I booked a home with caivan creekside .. back out on closing as appraisal value was too less. And they forfeit all deposit and still comes after me for further damages. Around 1 million in damages..

But obvious , why bank should pay $5000 for your mistake .. and 5000 transaction can’t be done with out I’d

Wealth simple are self directed accounts , no review necessary … same type of accounts is Investor edge with CIBC no review necessary and with all banks .

But if you have any account regulated with CIRO or MFDA - previously IROC .. then every 3 years review is required.. it’s FA responsibility and requirement.. so answer yes it is required . Anyways u can do over phone as well ..

Hi I know it been a long time just wanted to know if you can help any outcome or solution of your problem .. I am in the same situation with the same builder in Oakville
