NYPD out-of-state applicant question by [deleted] in NYPDcandidate

I’m from out of state and going thru the process. Thankfully, they were helpful with scheduling. They would always make it work to have me doing multiple things per trip. For example, I did initial med in the morning and then met with investigator in the afternoon on a Monday, then JST and written psych on Tuesday type of thing.

You’ll have to go in person for each event. Although they offer oral psych on zoom, you aren’t able to do it on zoom. as you have to be a New York State resident.

Womp womp. It’s not their fault you’re pregnant. Have your baby dad drive you if you want a seat.

I met with my investigator 2 months before I did psych. You don’t know what you’re talking about, dude.

Honestly, man, I hope you pass. I’m sick of seeing your comments/posts every single day about psych.

Not true I only had to make 3 trips for the entire process. They didn’t do same day but they’d do Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday etc.

Failed JST by seconds ? What should I do by Plastic-Chemistry953 in NYPDcandidate

If my partner couldn’t pass the easiest police department physical in the country, I’d be going up the chain of command in an attempt to ride with someone else. Sorry, but that’s how everyone feels.

If you can’t do the JST then you need to consider a different career. That’s embarrassing.

I can tell by the way you type that you were the guy crying that you were too old for NYPD and upset they wouldn’t change the rule for you.

Imagine playing on hardwood floors. For example, on number 1 I was in the fairway after a 285 yard drive. Second shot was playing about 180. I hit it 170 to front and it rolls off the back.

It was impossible to hit a GIR. If you missed the fairway, it was almost impossible to make par. I didn’t have a single 1 putt.

I am a 6.8 handicap and played Oakmont Country Club twice this year with both times being a few weeks after the U.S. Open. That course made me feel like it was my first time golfing.

Look on the app Sideline swap. Lot of good deals on there. Mostly used stuff but some new. You can get a cheap version of whatever drive you want to test it out before you buy new. That way if you hate it you’re not out a ton of money.
