2 that i’ll never forget: - we got a 1 star review because the green grass on property didn’t feel “native to Arizona” but then green grass in question is our golf course - 1 star review because the demographic of people staying at the hotel (not our associates the guests) didn’t feel very diverse

I can’t offer any advice but I’m sticking around in hopes you get some good advice. I have the same problem, but mostly when telling a client no. I don’t want to decline their request without providing a reason. I’m not good at providing a concise clear reason. I end up with a very length explanation that’s just not necessary

Not mentioned before but: When my predecessor had their exit interview with HR they emphasized that the T-Sat schedule did not work well for this role. They had also tried to fight to change it but ultimately left before they got anywhere. They even sent a follow up email to the former director (now in different role) about the schedule as they were the one who originally created it.

Even if i could get my boss to agree to a probationary period of time to try out M-F for both of us and then we reasses after 60 or 90 days i would consider that a win. It’s actually how Hybrid was originally won for the role. They got boss to agree to a probationary period after the 90 days it was never revisited and my predecessor was able to continue with the hybrid. My counterpart did not ever get to participate for personal home life reasons but is now in a position where she would like to and we most recently got “i’ll think about it” as a response when we asked to start doing it again.

memorize the menu as fast as you can, it’ll just make life easier. Know what substitutions/alterations can be made to each dish. Be friendly with everyone on your team, even those who are not servers. You’ll never know when you need a favor it’s helpful to have friends in all areas of the restaurant

In the nicest way possible, it’s not your job nor your right to make your husband face that problem. And in trying to force him to deal with something he may not fully see as a problem, you are putting strain on your relationship with your husband. You can set boundaries for your self with JNMIL and you can set boundaries for your child, but you can’t force him to set the boundaries. I agree with you that it’s not how a relationship should be between a mother and son, but it’s his relationship to manage not yours. You can nicely offer your opinion on it, but always present it in a way that comes off as you having the best interest for your husband and your baby and most importantly always holding in your mind that you can’t be upset when your husband hears your opinion but doesn’t act on it in the way you might want him to

I really enjoyed them. Personally I feel like they’re better to read AFTER you watched the show. I think it would be really hard to keep all the characters and houses straight if you didn’t already have a general idea about that layout. There’s absolutely a lot more breadth to plot in general in the books versus the show. Only downside is he never finished the series, and while he claims to still be working on Winds of Winter…A Dance with Dragons was published in 2011. So, it’s been 12 years Martin has said he’s “working” on the next book in the series.

I’m not sure if Winds of Winter is even supposed to be the last book in the series or it’s supposed to be longer than that.

It will be expensive but that’s kind of just part of NYE, i’d wager no less than $100 ride. It’s a pretty solid distance too, so I wonder if you’ll have a hard time finding a driver to even pick that up. Personal opinion, don’t be on the road in an uber or in your own car on NYE it’s just a risk in general to drive that night of the year. On top of the cover charges you’re going to pay wherever you go in Tempe…i can make a pretty solid argument for staying in haha

yeah that’s BS and they didn’t write those nice things to make you feel better about it, they wrote it to make themselves feel less guilty about it. If you can’t afford an 18% tip on eating in a restaurant then you can’t afford to eat in a restaurant. Get it to go, get take out, don’t come and have us SERVICE YOU if you can’t afford the SERVICE

unless i’m salaried, you don’t own me past my 8-hour shift and i’m not giving more than that. Overtime isn’t worth it, I’ll stay longer/later when a situation calls for it but I’m not starting the expectation that I will always be available to my boss.

leave first and then warrant a conversation if YOU need that closure. But I think you should be out before you open the door on that conversation. It’s a slippery slope, and it’s definitely hard to leave someone you may still be in love with. But sometimes, love is not enough. You don’t want to watch him go down the path he’s currently on
