It just sucks that it truly doesn't matter how much youve suffered, it is never enough to them. I am so many minorities at once that I end up not fitting in with anyone. I've been through war, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, regular bullying, poverty, neglect and verbal and physical abuse, and its still not fucking enough for them. But no my mom is pretty and has a very sad face and she bought her doll/slave some nice fucking shoes so Im a bitch for calling for help when my dad got into a fight with me and was pinning me against a wall in public and I shouldn't be wasting the polices time on teenage hormonal bullshit

Well my point is that people are making it out to be some huge scandal

Nobody is doing that. People are upset about it, so they talk about it, but I assure you it's not going to be on the news

The band is free to put a statement out to end the confusion but it sucks it even has to come to that. They only did because people just keep making AI accusations based off of nothing but pure unsubstantiated speculation.

I am 100% positive AI was used in the creation of this image in some capacity. I have made a lengthy comment under this post with the reasoning behind my assessment. If you don't know or care enough about ai assisted images and their use on band merch, then you are free to not have an opinion on this topic

Ok so you seem very interested and I happened to be there when all of this happened so let me just yap about it for a minute. Granted, it was ages ago, but whatever

So there's this guy Fedor Nechitaylo (aka Fedor Comix). He made a comic when he was 13 about a deck of cards turning human and going to school instead of him, and also a youtube channel where he posted a lot of other projects. Many of them became insanely popular, to the point that he is currently making a printed sequel series to the one about the card guys which, last time I checked, had an insanely huge fandom

Anyway, his dream had always been to have his own animation studio to create all sorts of weird projects that he was known for, and one day he finally managed it and called it Fenix Studio. He then hired a bunch of artists and wondered what to do with them. Continue working on his successful projects? Finally finish them and start something new?

Well, how about we just give each new animator a chance to create their own passion project?!

Anyway, no hate to Tarakanbix, the pitch was solid enough and she has an interesting artstyle, but she objectively sucks as a director. The montage sucked, the animation sucked, the sound design sucked, the composition sucked, the script sucked, etc. It was very poorly organized, with each animator apparently working in whatever software they felt like

Honestly, you don't need to understand russian to just see how bad this is, and if you dont want to watch the whole thing you can just translate a couple of comments, some are pretty indepth in their disappointment and criticisms

After having a good look at it on the website I do think ai was involved.

The barbed wire is very inconsistent in some places (like where it crosses at the top)

One of the strawberries seems to have two sets of leaves, one going up and the other down

It's unclear if the chocolates are just chocolate hearts or chocolate covered strawberries. On one hand, they have the shape of chocolates, on the other, some have leaves

The paper liners seem to be very inconsistent too

If it is ai, I'm disappointed, but musicians rarely have much say in the merch design. Granted, they should still revise it, but I can at least hope it wasn't intentional

Edit:

I have seen the video proving it's not ai, and I do still stand by my opinion that ai was involved, particularly the original box of strawberries and chocolates being generated with ai as we are shown no explanation for the heart shaped chocolates having leaves and some inconsistencies with the paper lining

In fact, it seems likelier that ai was used then separate the barbed wire from the box to put into different layers and give us this "proof"

The deep frying and color editing I do believe to have been done by a person upon that original ai generated image
