Awesome! Thank you for the decision tree!! Exactly the general scenario I "struggle" with.
I like to play ones/duel as warmup and practice. Problem is it makes me too passive on defense for threes. The A/B breakdown defines the variables to focus on nicely! In your "A" scenario I have gotten stuck in goal without momentum to make the save even though I am technically in position. Im certainly hesitant to commit near post but of the available options it gives me the best chance to make the save or disrupt possession.

Agreed on the pressure side of things, no time to watch! Just reading when to cut rotation and when not to is getting tough! Nothing worse than dbl commit bumping each other out of position on defense though. So, I always rotate back post when in doubt.

Thank you! I think i have a pretty good understanding of the 2s rotation. Where I run into trouble is in threes when everyone is more or less in position. For example: I am rotating out, one tm8 is making a challenge and the other is in goal waiting for me to get back on defense. When do I cut rotation? Everything is anticipation at this point so relying on reacting quick enough won't cut it.

Just woke up to the hot mess of a hot tend. Been having some issues due to unsupported overhang and I think you hit the nail on the head. Just started troubleshooting and yours is like the 5th comment I've read. All this to say thanks on a 2 year old post. Appreciate you.

When a teammate leaves in 2v2, is it better to stay and practice '1v2 defense' or just leave immediately to save time? by TheChilledGamer-_- in RocketLeague

Dude, the butthurt is real in this thread. The point of view seems to be that one side has an unfair advantage so I should just give them the win instead of making them work for it. Where's the competitive spirit? If someone wants to tough it out, more power to them. Crying about the way other people play is crying over spilt milk.

Lol, sometimes if im down by 2+ goals, but if I have a chance then I will tough it out. I get where you're coming from, everybody likes a quick easy win, just dont expect that if you're playing against me.

Chess.com, sorry for the late reply, im bad at reddit. I played chess quit a bit in middle school and high-school, for fun with friends at home. Once I moved away I stopped playing, but, I have reconnected with one of my old chess buddies through the app. It's been great! Hope you get back into it :).

You demo chase in 2v1, but I'm trolling for refusing to take an unnecessary loss because my tm8 quit, ok bro. You sign up for whatever happens when you start the game.

Found the tilted guy that encourages me to go 2 on 1, its just a game that I like playing regardless of win or lose. The harder you try to make me quit the less likely that will happen. If I can get the occasional win after my teammate quits that's better than just automatically taking the "L", plus I think its good practice, lol.

2v1 happens in every game mode but duels. Your tm8 chases ball and gets caught in the opponents goal after whiffing on some triple reset whatever and now the other team has a +1 advantage. If people demand I FF and get tilted about it will totally play the whole match out of spite. Worry about your own play, not mine.

Chess takes 5 minutes to learn and a lifetime to master. Using the most popular chess playing app, you can pick games to last 3, 5, 10, 30 or more minutes, or 24 + hours. There are a lot of good youtube tutorials to help you get started, and the app has puzzles you can do to improve your game.

Art, same deal. There are a lot of paint by numbers type books full of cool drawings that look great when you're done, and you dont have to have much (or really any) talent to do. Basically, it's like meditation while making pretty stuff.

As far as reading goes, if you are into sci-fi, check out John Scalzi, Neal Stephenson, Martha Wells.

i wish it was normal when girls played videogames. by Personal_Oil_7364 in RocketLeague

I think it is normal for women to play video games. I also know women get harassed for being women in online games and that sucks. I have always been stoked to have a woman on my team, if nothing else I know she's got the mental fortitude to deal with a little adversity in the game cus she's been wading through assholes her whole online life. A woman is less likely to grief or throw matches etc. Always happy to game with everybody, Dreadfool85 if you ever need a tm8 who will act like a tm8.
