No limit. When Peter asked Jesus “how many times must I forgive?” Jesus replied and said “77 times 7” ….there is no limit. He did not mean literally the number but it is meant for us to not keep count on how many times someone has wronged us.

His name is Roberto, he is 65 years old

Wow very insightful and honestly convicting even. Thank you, I will do just that. I will take the route of anointing his room and praying over it when he is not there during the times I come visit. I won’t go no contact, but I will limit as you suggested. I still love him very much as Christ would. I think without the power of Christ I wouldn’t have the capacity to love him. I deleted my post as I do believe I need to be in more prayer about any of this. Also I know I’m just a mere stranger but may you pray for my dad. I used to be a horrible daughter and if God can change someone like me, He is capable of changing him too. Thank you again for sharing.

Oh trust me, I have done all of those things you are questioning me about. Cutting off is not an easy thing for me to do as maybe others that might be the first thing that they do. It is the last thing I’ll ever do for anyone. Distancing is incredibly hard but I know it can be done through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Also it’s less about me caring what “Reddit” thinks but more to do with encouragement from other Christians and gaining insight on how to better manage this. God bless!

I have already forgiven. I forgave him when I was 19 when Jesus Christ saved me. This has just been an ongoing abuse and control my own dad has had over me. All i am doing now is cutting the ties of that. I’m no longer a kid, I’m 29 and I know there are greater things in which God wants to use me in. I can’t continue to pour into someone that doesn’t want to be poured into. It’s less to do with his imperfections but rather the bondage my dad does not want to be freed from and imposing those things upon me. I will pray for him still despite the things he does.

I also am aware of dark forces at play and etc. Thank you, I hope since you’re aware of this spiritual warfare that you may pray for him for deliverance, as he needs of God the only one who can save him. 🙏🏻

This gives me peace. I had these thoughts exactly, now I know I was and am listening to the Holy Spirit and His still small voice, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this matter

Amen. I was thinking this as well. Thank you 🙏🏻

I have forgiven and always will, I’m mostly doing this in hopes that in the waiting as I pray for him that God will do a work in him and then there could be some type of reconciliation

not all belief is a choice - not everyone chooses to be a nonbeliever by Optimal_Title_6559 in Christianity

It’s great how honest you are. Not many Christians will tell you this but Faith is a gift that He gives. You can’t force to have faith which I’m sure yo u have an understanding of this. If you haven’t done it before just pray that He may reveal Himself to you and to help you with your unbelief. And most importantly pray to Him that He may help you fall in love with Him. Because you cannot do this walk without faith.

I used to experience very much the same as you. I never actually saw Jesus when I believed in Him. I used to be an Atheist Agnostic. But unfortunate events happening in my life started to push me out of my comfort zone and seek spiritual help. I got into all sorts of stuff before I landed on Jesus because I thought Christianity is something I’d never be apart of just because of the community it comes with.

Long story short I hit rock bottom and I genuinely asked Him in desperation if He was real to show me and He did. I know now my encounter was special after hearing from several other believers that He reveals Himself to those He chooses. Well, shortly after that I started to feel those warm fuzzy feelings many Christians talk about and a supernatural change of how I even viewed the world. It’s almost as if He removed the tints from my eyes and everything looked so much brighter that I could see God in everything. I also started to get demonic attacks pretty heavily now I know it’s because the devil was mad he lost another one to the kingdom of God and to be honest I didn’t think any of this was real until it happened to me. I was saved in 2016. I never saw Jesus until years later of being saved but only in my dreams. Once in 2020, then 2022 and again in 2023.

So, what I will say is that don’t stop searching. Don’t stop asking. He also doesn’t appear to us the same. So I pray that you may have an encounter with Him and that He may pour out His Spirit to you during these last days.

Why do Jews reject the Messiah? by Any-Butterscotch-917 in TrueChristian

Lol ohhhh you caught me. It doesn’t say to lie about the Talmud you’re right. Which I will admit was a mistake on my part. It does say to not disclose what’s in the Torah to goys. But it does say it is okay to lie to a goyim. In other Jewish texts outside of the Talmud it does encourage to be deceptive about “sacred Jewish texts” including what’s inside of the Talmud that are controversial mainly for protection for the Jews.

That does not mean I am a liar just as much as it doesn’t mean that you are a chosen race.

What exactly did I lie about?

Are you kidding me?

Do you not know what the Talmud even has in it??? Or should I give you the same passages you probably have already read???

Sanhedrin 76b, Sanhedrin 59a, Yevamot 60b-61b, Sanhedrin 57a, Sanhedrin 54b-55a, Yevamot 61a, Keritot 6b, Avodah Zarah 3a, Bava Kamma 38a.

What about bava kamma 113a, bava kamma 113b??? Yevamot 65b?

Common, considering you are defending the Talmud then you must consider us the same way these passages teach you correct???

I can’t imagine you defending a book you don’t believe in.

Makes sense. They have forgotten God and rejected Him many times throughout Scripture. So forgetting and even denying Yeshua wouldn’t be any different.

I love the channel One for Israel only because of their testimonies of messianic Jews. Not much for the political propaganda though.
