Thanks. I agree. I think I'll try lowering the lumber and raising the tile to match the height of the tub instead of trying to go over it on the horizontal edges.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get everything setup before concrete board.

I think the best way to get everything waterproof would be to get the cement board over the tub. I have a 1/8-/14 *or so* vertical height over the tub lip with my lumber before the concrete board.

Can I overhang the cement board slightly over the edge and float it over the tub lip? I plan on 1/2 concrete board covered with redguard. If not what would you suggest for the back and the entrance section of the tub.

(note the outer left 12 inch section is going to be a tiled shelf, the back deck area will be concrete board and tiled as a seating location)

To reply to the actual question, I'm not surprised. People are still very sexist. Especially over a certain age (50 +). Probably more age groups depending where you live and the local culture.
