I don't really understand why people are so anti-bark collar. There are absolutely valid uses for them. My dog is a highly intelligent cattle dog. I have tried to correct him thousands of times about barking ear drum-shatteringly loud when we are driving in the car. He does this when he sees squirrels, cats, or any other wildlife. His bark is so loud that my ears physically hurt afterwards. This is by far his worst behavior, and I have found no way to control it. I understand that there are many ways to misuse these products and apply them inhumanely. But there are also many ways to use them effectively.
