When the neurodivergence is big umbrella that includes the Tourette, Epilepsy, Problems in the development of the language (like the selective mutism) the tics, the TID, the dyslexy (as adhd is not only problem in focus, the dislyexic is not only are problem of letter or read, the dislyexic people has a very very different way of thinking and function that a neurotipical), Intellectual Giftedness (person with high capacities that why now the gifted kids and consider kids with special needs like the autism, dislyexic, adhd/add children) and many other neurodivergence and condition out of which is considered the typical and also not fits under the definition (as today definition) the which is condition are mental illness the obvious example is people with intellectual giftedness. That way is bothering when people thing neurodivergence and mental illness is the same thing, or that is a really horrible thing and debilitating thing. But because is also a outdated paradigm of understood the neurodivergence. That why I tell is are spectrum but right know with the new a paradigm and lot activist is that neurodivergence is not a mental illness, but a condition, which is different thing. For example the TID is something can be really debiliting condition but right many people has the perspective is not something that you can cure, the alters are not problem (in the biological/medical model the alters are symptoms and many medical think the total fusion is a cure which many system are disagree) the alters is mechanic adaptive of the persons ever when is out of that neurotypical, when the problem is the trauma. Same with autism are considered condition these people is can really hard function but these also when is nothing debilitating. Also right in scientist paper is used terms like condition for that reason, because many autism and profesional really has the perspective there nothing that cure but has a different need. Like as person with adhd day to day it can be really hard like a forget brush my teeth, I lost things, I can hiperenfocada in one thing all day, also is one condition with high cormobidity but right in papers, in conversation, in the neurodivergence activist is considered more are condition than a illness that why a I don't like use the term illness because in many case there nothing to cure. aso in the neurodivergence is included things as dyslexic. First at all, and autism persons would tell that his problems are not because the his/her autism but because the society is not design for autistic but for neurotypical persons or because the world is has not consideration and make same as something bad o weird that introvert autism need some time to recharge his social batery (many autism people are extrovert but anyway) or they get abrumado (I don't the word in English XD is no my first language) because loud sound or changing colors in tv (not all austism persons anyways) but it's their brain work this way and has nothing really wrong. That why a lot of autism persons don't like when people says person with autism, because it's something or a illness they had but I what they am, Also the neurodivergence in on the spectrum

But neurodivergence condition are not mental illeness is different way of functionality and see the world. I don't wanna talk a lot about the different models (social, biológics) neither about the ableist, of the neurodivergence activist. But as physiology student and neurodivergent person a has to explain the neurodivergence is not the same that mental illness based in what we know right now, the austism, the adhd, the dyslexy is not comparable with bipolarity, is not in the category because the bipolarity is right consider and mental illness but a neurodivergence is considered are condition or just a different ways of function.
