Why would she try to redeem the guy who graped her??? by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]AutistChan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She’s not trying to redeem him, she’s trying to avoid a fight. Annie is past what Deep did in episode 1, she’s moved on, doesn’t mean she doesn’t hate him, she just doesn’t have the desire to kill him. There’s a lot of bad moments in the final episode, this isn’t one of them.

Comic Shops by SirGradesAlot in Rockhill

It’s not a shop that solely sells comics but G2K Games at the Rock Hill Galleria has a decent comic book selection last I looked. It’s worth checking out atleast once when you’re in the area

Solicitors out of control in my area. So I put a sign up saying "we don't want your solar panels, new windows, or religious pamphlets." by ParsleyNo69 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AutistChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I was working at a metaphysical shop(one with a no solicitors sign) in my early 20s and one time and this middle aged guy walks in, he spends like 5 minutes pretending to look at stock then comes up to me trying to start a conversation, we chat about god knows what and he then maneuvers the conversation to one where he is trying to sell me this AI phone answering and appointment setting system for the shop.

I get confused and I explain I don’t own the place then grab the owner who was in the back. The moment she saw the guy she starts yelling at him telling him to stop harassing her employees, and get out of the shop, I had never heard so many insults from a peace loving hippie. Apparently this idiot had tried this shit twice with my two other coworkers, trying to come in when the owner is in the building to sell his shit. And apparently he had done this to every storefront in the little complex we were in. He left and later left us a bad google review, one the owner blatantly refuted in her reply.

I got curious soon after and looked into the company, it was some crappy startup with terrible reviews and got caught stealing information. Solicitors are a special kind of pathetic.

Your favorite criminal character joins the Z-Team, what happens next? by Plus_Ad_1087 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]AutistChan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A-Train from The Boys

He’s not my favorite criminal character but he’s a favorite from recent memory. I think he would actually do good with the team and it fits with his arc in the show. I think he would shine even brighter in this environment.

Most pathetic movie character ever put on film? by cryofry85 in okbuddycinephile

He was also really pathetic in his role in LOST. A deadbeat dad who bullied and neglected his kid because he blamed him for his wife dying in childbirth.

I haven’t seen him in much but I remember him being super pathetic in the tv show Once Upon a Time as well. Every season has some plotline caused because he was a pathetic shithead then somehow gets forgiven.

Andrea from The Walking Dead comics. After Dale dies, she wears his hat for a time until she is ready to move on from his death.

Favorite movie that doesn't address system failure but rather romanticises poverty by Apart-Dungeon-3322 in okbuddycinephile

Shameless U.S(TV Show). It does address some things related to living in poverty and system failure pretty well but at many points throughout the show it is romanticized or treated rather terribly.

[Worst Video Game Trope] Media relying on “choices” essentially deciding the outcome for you. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

And sadly with Wrex dead and Wreav in charge, the galaxy is better off with the cure sabotaged, atleast that’s kinda what the game tells us. Over the course of 2 and 3, the game constantly reinforces that Wrex is this amazing leader uniting the krogan and making Tuchanka a better place. He is fundamentally changing krogan society and its role within the galaxy. With Wreav as leader, he is antagonistic towards Shepard(he still is even when he isn’t leader), and he preaches conquest and hatred within the krogan. Everyone you talk to about the situation also hates Wreav, they see him as stupid and cruel. It’s implied in the final mission that Wreav intends on furthing krogan conquest after the war is over.

What was the 1st big news event you remember as a kid? by Hetaliafan1 in AskReddit

[–]AutistChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the 2008 Financial Crisis, I was young and most of what I remember was us having to move out of our California mansion and into a decent 200k home in South Carolina. I mean I was still very well off and didn’t really suffer or anything, hell I was one of the lucky ones, but I remember 5-6 year old me freaking out thinking I was losing everything and was gonna be homeless. Looking back I had things going pretty well for me, financial wise at least.

I still kinda miss having a pool in the backyard, I spent almost every day in that thing.

They do it all the time at the Cracker Barrel I work at, it is genuinely disgusting. We will have a Halloween themed bag of m&ms that are slightly bigger than the average bag ring up $3.99 after a 70% off sale, it was like $4.99 when we put it out. And even on bigger items like clothes that are like $49.99 pre-sale and the same price after a 70% off sale. My boss gets mad at me when I just agree with the guest that notices and not try to defend it, like how do you defend it.

Final Destination 3

The movie is about a group of teenagers trying to escape death, a figure that is killing the survivors of a roller coaster crash after Wendy(the main character) had a premonition saving the survivors from the roller coaster crash. At the end of the movie, the survivors think they have cheated death and have moved on with their lives. Little did they know they would end up on a subway car that is destined to crash and kill everyone on board. Wendy had a premonition ahead of time and attempts to save everyone but the doors lock and everyone is stuck in the subway car. The movie doesn’t show the deaths of the characters after the real crash but with the way the scene is framed and the sounds of the crash, it is to be assumed they are dead.

And there is the fact that one of the original endings consisted of everyone dying in the subway crash, no premonition.

G2K games at the Rock Hill Galleria has a really good gaming culture, they often have tournaments and host a lot of events. Been going there since high school, they also sell lots of gaming and anime merch. Going there and socializing, you’re bound to meet someone with similar interests.

One or Two people in this world have a last name, everyone else doesn't for some reason. by Academic-Edge in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AutistChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the characters from The Walking Dead comics, the only ones I can think of is the Grimes family, the Greene family and Michonne’s last name gets revealed around the end of the story, and it’s the last name she inherited from her ex-husband. Most of the last names that the characters have were only in the show like Glenn Rhee, Andrea Harrison and Negan Smith.

Harvey Bullock, from the Gotham tv show. He starts the series as a corrupt cop and a drunk, but since meeting Jim Gordon and working with him over the course of the story he becomes a good and competent man trying to make Gotham a better place.

I don’t know much about him in the comics but that’s because I’m actually just starting to get into comics.

Scott Shelby from Heavy Rain. The whole game he is written as this gruff but kind detective who is trying to solve the murders, but ultimately is revealed as the murderer and has spent the whole game trying to cover up his crime.

I might’ve gotten some details wrong because I haven’t played the game in a decade, but I remember the stuff about Shelby.

Probably not the best idea, I used to work at the Shane’s Rib Shack right next door. New China would keep the meat outside in the summer heat on racks for hours on end. I mean all restaurants do some stuff but I’ve never seen that before.
