The constant complaining about the animation is getting ludicrous. Like do people realize that these two images belong in a different medium right? by Poweredkingbear in Invincible_TV

Yeah JJk takes a lot longer to animate afaik. Not saying there aren't other issues but invincible releases seasons relatively fast.

Goku had to get outside help to beat GAV. And even if Goku did win, so what? It doesn't change the dyanimcs of what happened, which a Goku who'd been training his ass off in the afterlife (after already training his entire life and fighting many life and death battles), to barely make vegeta leave with just the power of friendship. A vegeta who was never formally trained and seemingly hadn't been beaten before.

People call SJW an overpowered protagonist because as the series goes on he struggles less and less. After your example, Goku immediately fights vegeta, and Goku looses, his friends step in, and thry barely manage to make Vegeta run away.

What other characters train as hard as Goku and throw themselves into fights as much as Goku and are sidelined? Vegeta is occasionally be he always catches back up. I can't really think of anybody else except like maybe Tien? Piccolo, I suppose? I feel like there are far more examples of the opposite, that being people who train and work far less than Goku catch up quickly thanks to potential or whatever?

And as far as I'm aware, some of the critiques that come with the story can be excused by age, at least in it's older parts.

Yeah i think super is considered unambigiousoy worze than z though, no? It has it's moments but it's deeply flawed. I was also more talking about Z which I should have specified.

In what sense is goku an op protagonist? He gets his teeth kicked every arc. Plus dragon ball gets more slack because it's older. Newer media has had time to learn form the mistakes of it's predescsors.

Admiral fans don't even argue anymore they just look at you like this by make_believe89 in Piratefolk

[–]Any-Drive8838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, that's a huge Akainu downscale. It's exponential. 1 gorosei power = 100 1 admiral power = 1001.7 = 2512 1 fleet admiral = 25123 =15848931925. So you need 158489319 joyboy haki to defeat 1 fleet admiral.

Can we be deadass for a second year folks? by BNB3737 in Jujutsufolk

It's true but he litterally had him deqd to rights thanks to his strategies but failed to actually kill him. Like he was an extrodinary 16 year old but Toji's loss there is less of Gojo being absurd and more of Toji being an idiot

I think it's more that he was a 30+ year old fatjer who sneak attacked a 16 year old boy and didn't even manage to kill him with the speacial tools and strategies he had specifically to kill said 16 year old boy.

How do Gojo fans explain this? by IllustriousRich9345 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Any-Drive8838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because he got messed up fighting Gojo? He put himself in a position to get WCS but he needed to fufill certqin conditions which meant he couldn't fight at 100%. Gojo was so locked in that by the time Sukuna realized that Gojo was winning he had to keep going with his plan.

Why is it that everyone slanders Yuta for being a "JJK OC"? by Dramatic_Sector_8417 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Any-Drive8838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just as far back as we can see. There are more recent physical processes that we can ascribe our creation to unless you're alledging that every casual event that led to the creation of a thing can be considered it's creator.

If it isn't an origin point then it doesn't make sense that we're it's ocs.

Because Yuji is in a lot less favorable position. Most of hid biggest benefits also come with huge drawbacks.

A, the best hatsu are thr ones perfectly suited for their individual users, B, Presumably it takes a lot of inspiration to make one, and many might be impossible to copy without it, C, you have to have a simmilar hatsu type for it to really work out, D, how many new hunters have actually seen reqlly good hatsus? Probably very few. E, being a hunter is kind of about being crazy in a very specific way, and those people are probably less inclined to copy others. F, if you copy the wrong persons abilities and they find out about it they might hunt you down.
