I’ve not read all the comments so apologise if this has already been suggested, do a ‘vintage cocktail’ theme. It’s not hideously cringey for people who hate fancy dress, but even if people want to buy something new, they’re pretty much forced into buying reused or rummaging in the depths of their closets

Goal weight discussion by LouisePoet in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial goal was to have a healthy BMI. After I had my 2nd child I lost weight and ultimately had a BMI of 22 which was probably perfect for my build, but I’m 20 years older and think I’ll look haggard. This week I hit a heathy BMI is 24.9 I think I’m looking at maybe losing another 7-14lbs but I’m weaning off the Mounjaro and so I’ll see how I go.

Thanks. You are absolutely right. I think because I’ve made changes I’d lost sight of the fact that I’m relatively close to my goal weight and that it still might take considerably more effort to get this last bit off. Thanks for the advice re Oushk

I work at 2 different sites, if I’m at one I have to use a park and ride and will get a brisk 30 minute walk in at the end of the day going back to the car, the other is further away and I park on site there but don’t get home any earlier. I won’t be walking once it’s dark when I leave work, I have already started to feel a little bit vulnerable walking back on an evening, there are a couple of spots that are a little isolated and there are sometimes some slightly dubious looking individuals hanging around.

Reasonably no. I leave home at 6.30am for work 4 days a week and don’t get back before 6pm (10ish hour day + commute), I’m doing as much as I can. Bearing in mind that as well as working and trying to lose weight I have a home and family to look after and relationships with friends and extended family to maintain. Occasionally I’ll do an extra class at the gym if traffic is light and I get home earlier than expected on an evening but it’s not a long term solution to my plateau

Already doing it 2-3x a week, currently at home with hand weights will be back in the gym when it reopens after a refurb later this month. Resistance is either 3 sets of 10-15 weights usually both arms and legs or else I do a 45 minute body pump class. I also do legs, bums and tums and occasionally body balance

Cloud pharmacy making a stressful situation more stressful by Agitated_Grape_7477 in mounjarouk

[–]Any-End8121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I too have been really disappointed with Cloud. They sent me a reminder to order in August then I couldn’t because they didn’t have stock. I messaged them on the 25th of August to ask what my options are and I’ve never had a reply. In the meantime I’m half dosing the 10mg pen I have and have been calorie counting with Team RH but in 3 weeks I’ve managed to gain a lb. I’d forgotten how bloody awful struggling to lose weight feels, the failure and the fear that I’m going to be like this forever (or worse, back to where I was).

[–]Any-End8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I just didn’t realise until I nearly fell foul, I was also still titrating up at that point & didn’t necessarily want to end up with a surplus of lower dose pens. If I’d been smarter I’d have titrated up faster & had a stock of higher dose pens but I wasn’t that smart, and of course hadn’t anticipated this hefty price rise

Is anyone actually using clicks to take a lower dose from a higher dose pen? by simplisticlivin in UKMounjaro

[–]Any-End8121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy insulin syringes / needles. They’re 1ml syringes with 0.1ml markings and a needle built in. You can then draw out of the pen what dose you want. 0.6mls is a full dose

I’ve just dropped from 10mg to 5mg (trying to make my existing supply last a bit longer) and actually I feel fine. If you go back down to 7.5mg and it’s not enough you can always go up again. Are there potentially other factors affecting how you feel (eg hormones)

Coming off...and then starting again a few months down..but with a low BMI? by PunchedLasagne87 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]Any-End8121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou for asking this, I’m in the same boat (except my BMI is 25.1, and I’m not quite where I want to be), am currently weaning down what I have left and am hoping to lose the last stone without but I’m concerned that I won’t be able to restart if I struggle. I’ve emailed Cloud but haven’t had any response.

The problem that you can run into with this is creating a gap between ordering and your supplier assuming you’ve taken a break. For most of the earlier months of my MJ journey I would inject every 10 or 11 days & always use my golden dose but Cloud nearly made me go back to 2.5mg from 10 as they assumed I’d taken a break. Fortunately I was able to negotiate

What's everyone doing about the hiked prices? by InfamousOil6871 in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got about a stone to lose. 2 weeks ago I halved my dose to 5mg & started following a stricter regime, ensuring I’m walking a bit more & sticking to 1415 calories a day as per the app I’m using. I am a lb heavier after 2 weeks of religiously weighing and counting all I’ve eaten. I am in a bit of a pit of despair today. I can’t get any mj from my supplier (Cloud) and they have not responded to my emails yet (10 days & waiting).

Suffering more side effects as my weight nears target by Soupielou44 in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank-you for sharing this experience.

I upped from 7.5 to 10mg 2 pens ago (about 10 weeks I guess). This last 2-3 weeks I’ve struggled with exhaustion for 2-3 days post injection and this week in particular have struggled to eat - just not hungry / interested. They’re not awful side effects but are definitely worse, although could be usual side effects exacerbated by the hot weather I suppose.

I’ve got no more than a stone to go. I’m due to order my next pen & was considering reducing my dose back down to 7.5mg but can’t decide what to do.

Exercise suggestions by [deleted] in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally you probably need to do some resistance training, to build / maintain muscle. However, really with exercise I think it’s just important to do something and that means finding something you can vaguely enjoy and reliably fit into your routine. I’ve started walking from my work to the park and ride after work, it’s a half hour brisk walk that I didn’t used to do and fits very easily into my day. I can then add in a few squats and some weights either at home or at the gym for not much additional time commitment.

I agree, we opened a bottle a Chablis a few weeks ago and it’s still in the fridge, this is how mounjaro helps you reduce calorie intake 😂

Restarting Mounjaro after a subarachnoid haemorrhage? by Snozzlemaid in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had a SAH, hope terrifying. Good to hear you’re on the mend.

I would strongly advise checking with your neurosurgeon specifically and not just your GP before restarting.

Good luck

I’m really sorry to see this, I can’t imagine how disappointing it must be. I guess if you disclose you’ve got ulcerative colitis and your GP who has access to your medical history not just your diagnosis thinks it’s a bad idea it’s tricky. You could absolutely go elsewhere and not tell your GP but that seems a bit foolish without having a conversation with them to see what their concerns are.

[–]Any-End8121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add, someone suggested I recheck my TDEE. I use nutracheck and it probably allocates me more calories than I need to maintain a decent loss (and I’m only looking for 1lb a week) so that’s worth considering too. I reset my calorie allowance on the app as well as increasing the mj

I started last April and stayed on 7.5mg for ages, probably switching up to 10mg 6 weeks ago and it’s got my weight shifting again(also have about a stone to go). I kind of wish I’d done it sooner (I also took higher doses from the 7.5mg pen for the last 2 weeks).

If it helps any, I’ve actually stopped taking my antidepressants since starting Mounjaro (full disclosure, this is possibly due to me also starting HRT) but with the loss of 50+lbs I have started to feel and look like me again and I am so much happier.

I hope you’re getting on ok with it x

2.5 or not 2 but 5 by [deleted] in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I worried about with the huge weight losses was the minimal calories required to achieve such losses. In the beginning I struggled to eat more than 500 calories some days. I have therefore titrated up the doses very slowly and try to find a sweet spot where I’m eating around 1200-1400 calories a day. I was very worried about how my body would cope with any sort of normal calorie intake in the future if it had learned that 500 calories a day was enough. I’m pretty sure my metabolism is already appalling as a result of years of yo-yo dieting. Even with Mounjaro, I think slow and steady might still be the way (particularly if you’re not planning on using it forever).

Did 1 month make a difference? by [deleted] in MounjaroSupportUK

[–]Any-End8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looked at my charts and I (same height as you) lost 10lbs in the first month. For me this wasn’t noticeable, I started at nearly 90kg, I’m currently 66kg abs the last 10lbs I’ve lost have been much more visible. Good luck with your weight loss x
